Magical Express - When will mail arrive?

Hi everyone! We're leaving in a week from tomorrow. We've received our packet with all the various vouchers for our stay quite a while back, but I'm still waiting on the actual blue Magical Express booklet. I think I remember this taking a while to come for our last trip but I can't remember how many days/weeks it was before our trip.

So, should I be worried that I still haven't gotten it and our trip is one week away?

I'd call. We got ours about a month or so before we left. Worst case they send another and you end up with extras.

Definitely call - they can tell you if/when it was mailed out.

i thought they quit mailing that out now with the magic bands since its linked on there?? I would def call though too bc with everything they are doing right now who knows the correct way.

I got mine at least a week ago for My trip next week. I haven't received Feb one yet.

I actually did get both the souvenir tags and the yellow luggage tags with the voucher booklet (the one that has the resort info, disneyquest vouchers, miniature gold vouchers, etc). I'm thinking they're just no longer sending this Magical Express booklet.

I got mine about a week ago for my 2/6 trip - and I got the yellow ME luggage tag and the traditional ME booklet CounselorX referenced. (I have a room-only, though, no package, so I don't get the "Mickey Mail.")

Oh, and FWIW, my ME envelope came the day after my Magic Band arrived.

I am flying out next Saturday (25th) and we just received our packet with the luggage tags in the mail yesterday. I contacted DVC member services about two weeks ago to update my reservation and made sure the Magical Express info was updated as well.

You really don't need that voucher book if you have the Magic Bands. We used ME for our trip last month and the MB's worked great to get us on the bus. But you need the yellow luggage tags if you want to check your bags and have them appear in your resort room without any extra steps.

How about when going from the hotel to the airport? Do they still use magic bands for that? I'm just curious because last September I was there and we had magic bands and the bus driver still tore out a page from our ME booklet before taking us to the airport, and I don't know where it would be possible to scan your magic band when boarding to go to the airport. Things may have changed since September was one of the first testing phases.

That's what happened to us in November. We lined up for the Magical Express back to the airport, and the driver took the vouchers from the booklet, he didn't do anything with our Magic Bands. Once you check out, you can feel free to take the bands off and put them away, and make sure to have booklet in hand for the bus driver.

We are almost two weeks out, have our MBs, luggage tags & our reservation book, but I have not seen anything with a voucher for ME. I will count on the MBs being functional for arrival & departure, with my reservation book in my purse.

When we were there on Nov 30th they scanned the MB's twice, once before you got in the bus line for your resort, and then once again before you got on the bus. The second MB scan is new and seems to replace the need for a voucher.

But on the return to the airport after you check out of your resort, you need the letter that is delivered to your room before check out. The MB's weren't used for the return trip. Maybe they've added it by now, but back then you needed the letter. I suppose the voucher book would work, too.
