Hi, I've booked our trip to Orlando, flying, and I'm thinking about where to get a quick dinner for us when we arrive in the evening. We are staying at WL and so our transportation is the Magical Express. Are they right there ready to pick you up when you arrive to take you to your resort, or can you get on the Magical Express when you want? Are you led right away to baggage claim? Are any quick restaurants next to baggage claim? Or, we'll plan to just go to the WL and eat at the Roaring Fork. I've never been to WL or used the Express, so not sure what to expect. The Disney reservation agent asked when our plane arrives so I figured maybe this has us logged into a timeframe on the Express.

Once we've gotten down to magical express we never waited more then 20-25 minutes for a bus, some times have been walk right on. You can get off the plane and eat in the airport before going to bus. WL is out favorite hotel, you'll enjoy it!

I don't know what time your flight is But there are many places to eat right in the terminal. No one will come get you for DME, you will have to make your way down to the lower level to the DME counter (just ask any airport workers to direct you to it), you don't need to go to the baggage claim area. They will take care of that for you. (unless you want get your own bags). If DME gets your bags for you then expect them to be delievered to you room 3 to 4 hrs later. I would say figure 1 1/2 hrs from touchdown to WL if you go straight to DME. But you don't need to go right away. There is no time schedule.

Thank you! This explains a lot. Our flight arrives at night, so that's why I'm kind of wondering about dinner especially traveling with kids. Thanks!

Remember if your flight arrives at/after 10pm whether it is scheduled that late or if it is delayed and comes in that late, you need to get your own luggage...but Magical Express runs 24/7. Personally though I'd pack some snacks in your carry on to tide you over till you get to the resort, especially if you are flying in late

Honestly, we get so sick of Disney food that I would definitely get a meal at MCO before meeting up with the Magical Express. The Roaring Fork is great, but it's small and selections are limited.

We arrived late on our last trip in December and so we decided to stay at the MCO Hyatt the first night. They have a lobby bar/restaurant that's actually pretty good...we ordered a few appetizers and had a late-night snack before heading to our room on our arrival night. It was great, and the kids thought it was pretty cool being able to overlook the whole airport.
