Magical Express/Uber Questions

My family and my mom are arriving at MCO from different locations. Our flights are within 15 minutes of each other on the way there. My mom is booked in a room with one of my kids and the rest of us are in a different room. When making our Magical Express reservations, would it matter if I put our flight info in for 4 of us and my moms for her and one of my kids? I'm guessing they don't care where we came from as long as we arrive when we said we would. Would that work, or should I call and set it up with them?

Also, for our return flight, my husband and oldest daughter will be taking a 7:30 am flight, while the rest of us will leave at 3pm. I was wondering if Uber would save them enough time to make it worth the $30 or so that it would cost (according to the Uber fare calculator, if that's accurate). Since we are leaving later I don't mind taking the bags and just letting them have carry on luggage.

DME doesn't care who is on what reservation. As long as each person is listed on a WDW resort reservation, it doesn't matter how/when they arrive at MCO. So, list people however you wish.
As far as leaving for MCO goes...for a 7:30am flight, DME will pick up at 4:30! If you use Uber, you could have them picked up at 5:30...enough time to check their bags with RAC. That would get them to MCO around 6ish. To be completely safe, get a 5:00 p/u...that gets them there at 5:30, the recommended 2 hrs prior to flight time.
It's up to you whether or not that small amount of addtl time is worth it.

We always use Uber to return to the airport now. It's just so much nicer and we don't get there so darn early. Saved us on our last trip. Our flight our got cancelled about 3 hours before departure. Had we taken ME we would have already been on the bus, or even at the airport. As it was, we were just walking out of Epcot. We stopped, get our flights rearranged, ended up flying out the next morning. Had we taken ME we'd have sat at the airport all night. As it was, we sat at Epcot till it closed, went to Poly, watched MK fireworks and then took Uber to the airport hotel and flew out early the next morning. So for me, Uber is well worth it for the return to the airport trip.

My flight got delayed more than 3 hours before departure for over an hour and they wouldn't let me change my ME time!! They said only if you're flying out with an earlier flight. SO there I went to the airport extremely early (because I'm too cheap to pay for a uber and absolutely love the video on the ME)

I look at it this way, I paid a lot of money to be at Disney so I'm staying there as long as I possibly can. Makes it easier to spend that $25 or so on Uber.
