Magical Express, two airlines, need assistance please

Hello everyone, my DBF and I will be traveling to WDW this July. My boyfriend will be flying in from New York City and I will be flying in from Los Angeles. We plan to use ME as our means of transportation to and from the airport, but we're concerned about having them handle our luggage.

All our reservations are under his name (with me as a guest name) and I assume all the luggage tags will be sent to him. He plans to send me half of them (two I think?) to attach to my luggage. I guess my question is, can we register two flights under one reservation so ME will pick up DBF's luggage as well as mine? We plan to arrive near/about the same time to the airport. Or, do you think it's best we collect our own luggage and bring it to the bus ourselves? I'm worried about some of our luggage getting lost or not getting picked up at all.

Just give DME both flights. They won't have a problem handling the two separate flights.

It shouldn't be an issue at all. As safetymom just said....give them both flight numbers. I don't think they really need the flight numbers. When the baggage people see the yellow luggage tags the bags are automatically pulled. It's not as if they are looking for x number of bags on flight 1234. They like to know arrival times so as to be able to have the correct number of buses available.

Put the yellow tags on them and they will appear in the room you have your reservation. The white tags get your bags to the airport and the yellow or Disney tags get your bags to Disney and than get to your room.

If you both arrive and go to the ME desk at the same time, it doesn't matter whether both airlines got listed.

If you arrive at Orlando different times, the person arriving first can if needed modify the ME pickup to be later for the person arriving second.

Once at least one of you (per room) arrive, all the baggage tags for that reservation are registered in the system for baggage delivery.

You only need to retrieve baggage in which you specifically put items (toothpaste, swimsuit, shorts if winter at home, etc.) you will need for the first 24 hours upon arrival. If this item is checked, it should not have a yellow tag.
