Magical Express the day after flying in?

Thinking of flying in late late Saturday night if possible, our package at Disney doesn't start until Sunday. If we find an airport hotel for a few hours sleep Saturday night, can we shuttle back to the airport on Sunday and still ride the Magical Express? Even though our flight arrived maybe 8 hours earlier???

Would appreciate any recommendations on an inexpensive airport hotel with shuttle, too, if you know of any. Thanks!

Absolutely not a problem. Just claim your bags at baggage claim, then the next morning shuttle back to to the airport and go down to Magical Express.

The only days you can use Magical Express are check-in day and check-out day.

For an inexpensive airport hotel with shuttle, try Priceline or Hotwire.

Actually, you can also use it any day after check-in day and any day before check-out day. We have often had guests join us midway through the trip and leave before we did.

I think the key word is "guests" - whose arrival and departure dates would be on your reservation, right?

*Edited to add - I've stayed at a WDW resort with a friend and arrived several days after she did. However, my arrival date and flight times were noted on her resort reservation.

Yep, but to keep it simple, never noted their arrival time or date, and then they confirmed their departure date and time with DME when they arrived at the desk.

Guests (means anybody with a reservation or named on a reservation at a Disney-owned resort) can use Magical Express once each way: on or after arrival/check-in day, and on or before check-out/departure day.

I can see how additional guests who are staying with the person(s) named on the reservation might use Magical Express after the check-in date or before the check-out date. There are also plenty of people who stay at a WDW resort and don't use ME. However, if the person checking in is going to use ME at all - it will usually be on the check-in/check-out dates.

Yes, usually Guests (proper noun-version used by Disney) with Disney resort reservations will use Magical Express on their respective check-in/check-out days.

However, they/we CAN use for one ride from the airport to Walt Disney World on or after arrival/check-in day; and CAN use it for one ride from the resort to the airport on or before departure/check-out day.

To say that "The only days you can use Magical Express are check-in day and check-out day" is inaccurate and misleading.

In addition, the OP using ME on her check in day, but not her flight day, no? I don't see how there could be a problem with this.
