Magical Express Routing Information

Thanks Tyler!

Do you think there is any "logic" to the order in which the resorts are listed? We are in the "black" zone, and Port Orleans is listed first. Do you think that means we will be the first to be dropped off?

okay so if a group shows up that wants COnt, Polyn, WL, GF and FW - then 2 buses will show up? because this would require the first bus to stop at more than 4 places.

am I understanding this correctly?

Also if they have to call more buses - do you who how long the wait time will be? (I know you probably don't - but I hate to wait on buses when I am not even in my resort yet - I have more patience once I am at WDW)

OK, I am not sure about this, just taking a guess, but Disney KNOWS who is coming in and when, therefore, they should have the buses there already waiting for you...with NO wait....this is just a guess, maybe Tyler can confirm this???????

Thanks for the info! I too am curious if these are the actual resort stop
order :goodvibes

That is my guess.

I', p[rettu sire tjat Mears will be putting some of its regular passengers on Magical Eapress buses. Those passengers will not be traveling free.

Thanks for the info. We are traveling with 6 small children and were wondering about all of it.

To my knowledge, this is incorrect. There will not be any add ons of regular Mears guests as I understand it.

The pick up point will not be in the Mears loading slips at the Airport, they will be at or near the same loading slips used by DCL.

I'd like to know the answer to Betty's question too!

Is there a specific order or will it be random?

Thanks for the info. Tyler or anyone who can answer!

I think you will find it will go closest is first, furthest is last, and the reverse on return to the airport. That is the most efficient.

There are many combinations of 3 or 4 resorts, the driver should choose the most efficient route.

Let us speculate.

CBR, OKW, FQ.

FQ is last.

FQ, RS, Contemp

FQ is first.

Both groups of three make sense, but will be run differently, based on there location. Difference from first to last, with nearly no luggage, 15 to 20 min. if that.

I'm sorry, I'm often slow on the download to my brain, Ha! I see people mention being "dropped off in one zone and picked up in another". I want to make sure I understand this.

If I'm staying in Music and going to MK, I will take the red bus and when we leave to come back we get on the green bus correct? And for another; if I want to go to Pleasure Island, I will take the black bus and on returning I will get a green bus?

Thank you! :flower:

Tyler,

I take it that each bus will only be making stops in one zone. If so that is very good news!

Welcome to the DIS, Shasta.

The bus routes being discussed here are just for the new Magical Express service which provided free transportation from the airport to WDW resorts.

For bus service once you're on property, it is veery straight forward. From your resort to MK, just board the bus that says Magic Kingdom.

To return to your resort, just look for the bus stop that lists your resort. The bus will have the appropriate sign.

Same thing for DTD....look for the DTD bus at your resort. As a note, there are no buses from the parks to DTD.

Hope that helps. :sunny:

That would be my guess. However, I only know what you know... anything else is purely a guess.

Tyler--Do we know for sure if the buses will only be going to a maximum of 4 of the 5 resorts in the route? The FAQ says the buses will make a maximum of 4 stops between the airport and the guests hotel. This would imply the route could have up to 5 resorts since the airport and your hotel doesn't count as one of the stops.

Judging form the mobs at MCO, I'd think Disney would have more than enough guests to fill the buses without having to combine routes. Late at night I'd rather make an extra stop if the choice is waiting at the airport for an extra 15 minutes.

I don't work for DME, so mostly the only things I know is exactly what has been posted here. I was told however that they are expecting an average of 6,000+ guests per day using DME. My guess is that 4 stops means 4 hotels per bus. Time will tell!

Since the airlines allow each passenger to check two bags, you should receive two luggage tags, per person.

Jet Blue and SW still allow all passengers 3 pieces of checked luggage. I believe other airlines do, at least for their elite flyer's.

I don't know if Disney will give you a third tag if you ask. I don't think most people go over 2 checked bags.
