After reading the negative things about DME and how people didn't get their luggage etc. I was a little worried about it but I have to tell my Dis friends that DME rocks!!

We checked our bags in Norfolk with our DME tags with no problem. We arrived at MCO about 12:10 on Thanksgiving Day. Stopped to grab a coffee at Starbucks and headed down stairs to the DME check in. Pracitcally walked up to the counter, got my paper vouchers for the bus (they didn't send one for the infant so they had to reprint them with one for the baby), and then was sent to stand in line for the bus. I waited all of 2 minutes and was escorted to a Disney Cruiseline bus. We were on the bus with a few other people and on our way by 12:45!!!! (considering it took forever at Starbucks...a woman ran off with my drink before I could get it...the theif...so they had to make it again.)

We watched the movie as we rode to the resort and the kids were quiet as little church mice since they were so intent on the movie.

By 2 pm, our carryons were stowed in our room (it was ready early) and we were headed to EPCOT.

We came back to the hotel about 10 to find our luggage sitting there waiting for u!! No problems!!

Our return trip was just as easy. Bell service picked us up, dropped our luggage at the Airline check in station, we were supposed to get our airline cards but there was a problem so we had to get our boarding passes at the airport. We had about a 15 minute wait for the bus and then we were on our way. We made on stop at POP and then headed towards the airport. We had a leaving video to watch so the kids were quiet then too.

The best part is that when we returned to Norfolk the bags were there and waiting for us!!! So the entire experience was absolutely perfect!!! I would definately use it again!!

If you have any other questions let me know!! I'll be happy to answer!

Thanks for the positive review. Our last trip we used a car service which was great - grocery stop and all - but $100 bucks is a $100 bucks. I will kind of miss the grocery stop during our Feb 06 stay but we didn't eat everything we bought last time. Maybe I'll pack groceries in an extra suitcase!!

Glad to see it does work occassionally. However, there are probably more negatives than positives. My daughter and her family used it last Thursday (12/1). She arrived to the airport at 5:45PM and didn't get to the resort (AKL) until after 8:45PM. Her luggage arrived an hour later. She said never again.

However, my oldest daughter used it in September and arrived at the airport at 8:30AM and was at the resort just after 9:00AM. It does seem to work better in the morning than in the evening. However, our family won't be using it again.

Actually, you'd be surprised. There are by FAR more positive DME comments than negative. DME as a whole is getting rave reviews by guests.

Yes, there will be an occasional snafu -- you'll find that with ANYTHING in this world. But for the most part, it all works to plan.

Tyler, if you come back to this thread, I was wondering if you could help me out. We have relatives who are using DME on Thurs. Their flight arrives at 10:45am. We are driving down, it takes us about 5 hrs. What time do you think they would arrive at Saratoga Springs? Just trying to plan what time to leave that morning so we can meet them. They've never been to WDW before.

In my experience, it's a pretty safe bet that 90% of my guests arrive within 75 minutes of touchdown.

We used it in early Nov going to AKL. They were on time in both directions and we did not have any problems, including with the luggage.

I'm glad that some people are happy with it. I was pleased enough that when it becomes a pay service I will definately be using it again. I just wish Southwest would be one of their member companies! If that happened I would be in heaven!

Here's another positive. The ONLY SMALL negative I had was we were the first on the bus to Coronodo Spings. Had to wait about half an hour for the bus to fill up - even with that, it was a joy to not mess with the luggage. We'll use it again in January.
