Magical Express reservations

How do you make a reservation for Magical Express? Do you call the airline or the hotel? I initially thought that POR/Disney would simply mail me the luggage tags..but now it seems like you have to reserve ME. Can someone please clarify this for me? Thanks.

Call Disney reservations (or your TA if you used one), and have it added right onto your reservation.

You make it with whoever you make your hotel reservation with. BTW Swan doesn't participate with DME although some guests who sign up with Mears may wind up being transported in DME buses.

Disney Cruise Line guests at Disney resorts and Swan and Dolphin, Mears customers at Disney resorts, and Magical Express guests, nowadays all use the same bus routes which started out years ago serving just DCL guests. So a Swan or Dolphin guest walking up to the Mears counter and buying a ticket could be put into the ME/DCL system also. During peak travel times now it is not unusual to find a DCL bus full of ME guests. Mears also has additional plain white buses used for ME during peak travel times. DCL guests were charged separately for Disney's ground transportation between resort, airport, and port which transportation is optional.

I booked my reservations by going through Shades of Green and getting CSR at their overflow rate. Since CSR participates in ME, I booked my ME reservations using the www.disneyworld.com website. I was worried that it wouldn't work because it wasn't on the reservation itself, but I got a confirmation e-mail and just received my luggage tags today!!! Woo Hoo!!!
