Magical Express Question

We have family members who are coming to Disney with us next week and they are useing the ME bus and we are renting a car. They want to take their luggage on the bus with them. Do they allow this? And they are taking the bus to Saratoga Springs Resort. How many stops does the bus make before get there?

People are permitted to take their luggage with them on the DME bus. It'll take them longer, and they're giving up a great benefit, but yes, they're permitted to do it. Just please ask them to tip the driver, since he/she will be handling the luggage.

As for drop off information, there's no set grouping of resorts, and thus there's no set order of dropoffs. It's a totally fluid situation where resorts are grouped together on DME buses due to needs at that exact time. In general, given any grouping of resorts on any given bus, the resort closest to MCO gets dropped off first, etc.

One more question. If they decide not to take the luggage on the bus, How long does it typically take to receive your luggage? I have heard that some times its as long as 6 hours! Is this true?

We used ME one time and the first stop was SSR. We carried our luggage on the bus with us due to stories we read on the DIS. Don't know if that's always the case, as each bus goes to 3 or 4 resorts. Although we only use the car once or twice during our WDW stay (groceries and beer), we just like having a rental car. Much faster to our resort and our luggage always arrives when we arrive!

we arrived at mco at 8:55pm-checked into poly by 10:15pm and we received a phone me ssage at 12:30am that our luggage was available-the service worked very well for us.

I used ME in August and arrived at 11 a.m. I was at the hotel at 11:30 , and our bags were in the room by 1:30 p.m.

We stayed at SSR this past week and used ME. The ME bus first stopped at OKW, then POR and POFQ - the bus driver forgot we were to get off at SSR, which should have been the second stop. They seem to group the resort drop-offs somewhat geographically from what we've experienced both times. We got to the resort at about 6:30 p.m. and our luggage came to the room at around 8:30 p.m.
