Flying in Jan 30, staying at an airport hotel overnight, then early to Disney the next morning. Want to take just the carryon luggage to the airport hotel.

Can my luggage go ahead to Disney on Jan 30 to be held by bell services, until the room is ready on Jan 31?

If you arrive after 10:00 there is no DME luggage service. You need to pick them up yourself. You don't use the yellow luggage tags for flights arriving after 10:00.

I'm not sure what would happen at the airport to unclaimed luggage or at a resort for luggage that arrived for someone who was not registered as a guest. The potential for it getting lost is too big for me to chance it.

DME (luggage or bus) is only valid during the dates of one's WDW resort stay. So if the OP is arriving a day early, technically they aren't able to use any DME service until the next day.
