Magical Express Question

We're getting the ME for the first time this summer. I've read instructions on websites that we do not collect our baggage when we arrive at MCO, and that Disney deliver your luggage to your hotel room later.
However, does this still apply for UK guests? Since we'll be going through immigration when we arrive, do we still leave our bags for Disney to collect?

Also, how long does it take Disney to deliver your bags?

You will collect your bags as you clear immigration then you put them on a second luggage belt and you are supposed to collect them after you take the train to the terminal however Disney will collect them at the second carousel

This is the theory of how it should happen!!

However, on the two ocassions I have flown to WDW since Magical Express started, I never received my luggage tags, so Disney did NOT pick up my luggage. On each occasion I had to collect my luggage from the second luggage carrosel and have a skycap carry it over to Magical Express check in. One advantage is that your luggage goes with you on the coach and you don't have to wait for it to arrive.

It's not as bad as you think! At least you don't have to wait around at the second carousel!


Andrew - that's a shame you did not get your labels. It took our bags 4 hours to arrive at our room at AKL but we found the service at this hotel was pretty poor anyway!
