Yesterday we had a 3:30 bus time for ME. Being the type A personality I am, we spent a couple of hours at DHS and got back to POR about 2:15, had lunch, and lazed until about 3 when we went out front. Another ME bus was just leaving.
About 3:10, two women with 3 small kids walked up to bell services and said they were on the 3PM bus, so what do they do now, just take the next bus? He said they could if the driver would allow it, but otherwise they'd have to take a cab.
They went and got their stuff (LOTS of stuff--each child had a small case, they had two strollers and huge carry ons) and lined up for our bus when it pulled up--but never got on. I don't know if the driver refused them or what, but the bus was not full when we left our last resort (it already had 4 or 5 folks on, and after POR went to FQ, OKW, and SSR). There was room, so if he refused them I don't know why--his priority I guess.
Moral of the story--be there when the ME bus comes!
