Yes Magical Express is a 24 hour operation, and you can use it. I have used it after 1130 pm and also for a 7 AM flight.

Magical Express transportation is available around the clock.

As during the rest of the day, each Magical Express coach from MCO to WDW normally stops at a total of 3 or 4 resorts. During the day, when Magical Express is busy, the resorts are usually in the same area of WDW. But late at night, the resorts can be anywhere at WDW. (The good news is that they dispatch coaches based on demand, rather than waiting to get enough guests going to the same area.)

With a 7:00 a.m. departure, your Magical Express pickup time will be around 4:00 a.m. If you use a towncar service, you can get an extra 30 minutes of sleep because your pickup time would be around 4:30 a.m.

Magical Express inbound luggage transfers are offered for flights arriving at MCO between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. For flights arriving after 10:00 p.m., you have to claim your own bags at baggage claim and take them to the Magical Express coach.

On you departure day, you won't be able to use Resort Airline Check-in because it doesn't open until 5:00 a.m.

Early and late flights are often cheaper than flights at more convenient times. But there's a reason.

I still say that late and early flights are my favorite flights. Who wants to kill the middle of the day on vacation time on an airplane. Unfortunately, the airline industry disagrees with me. I would LOVE to have the return of the 6:30pm direct flight out of my hometown on Friday night and the 8:00pmish flight back to my hometown on Sunday night. Fortunately, SW out of Nashville still agrees with me, so I drive 100 miles to get what I want.

Yes, I have used it for very late flights and very early ones. You just have to pick up your own bags before heading to DME. Not too big of a deal...they usually come up fairly quick at MCO. We even fly Southwest which is on opposite corners from DME and it is no big deal to grab our own bags...it is a quick walk across the terminal.

We just came back Saturday and had a 12:45 pm flight with ME pickup at 10:00. We had just enough time to hop in line and grab McDonald's to carry on the plane....they were just starting to board when we got to the gate. We needed the full time!
