Magical Express Late At Night

My sister and I are flying in a night earlier then the rest of our party, but we aren't arriving until 10:30. How does this work with Magical Express? We are going to All Star Movies. By the time we get to the resort it will probably be closer to midnight, and we'll be ready to go to bed shortly. How long are we going to have to wait for our luggage?
 
I was told that they do not deliver until the next morning if you come in late at night.........This was told to me by a cm when I was inquriing about it.....

You'd think that they'd tell us that when we made reservations. That could cause some problems. How late does Magical Express run?

So don't worry about them not being there for you to get to the resort.

Now the problem (well not really a problem is ) your bags . The Values (As /POP ) have Baggage assistance not Bell Services and they close at 9 or 10pm. You have a few options and they are all very easy depending on what you want and need.

1> Don't use your ME yellow tags and get your bags at baggage claim ,take them to the ME bus with you. This will insure you have your bags but will require that bit of time to get them and then go to check-in with ME.

2> Use your tags and go right to ME and wait for your bags to arrive in the morning .

3> Use your tags and go to ME then when you get to your resort let the front desk know you will need your bags when they arrive and they can make arriagnments on eith having them delivered or for you to get them from the front desk.

Let them know at the ME check-in as well and they can note it on the computer and any one else that pulls it up will see it.

We are actually only going to All Stars for one night and then to Saratoga Springs. Can I just have my luggage sent to Saratoga Springs to be held until the next morning?

Not really

But what you can do is just have Allstars Transfer you luggage for you to SSR.

When you check-into both ME and again at AS let them know to hold your luggage until the next day for you to pick-up (mention you will transferring it to SSR) this way they won't cart it and bring it to you in the morning.

Then when you get up and head over to Baggage handling and tell them to transfer it to SSR. SSR will get it later that day and should either take it right to your room or you may have to call to have it brought up . But either way should be no problem.


Also if you using ME for the return make sure that you have a return scheduled with the SSR ressie. If all you have is the AS it will want to pick you up the morning of your transfer . Again this is no problem just a heads up to make it easier.

You may find it less confusing to make/modify your return ME reservation after you check in at SSR (and at least a day in advance of check out). Since the All Star reservation is a one night stay and you are not leaving Disney the next morning, it is almost a no-brainer to the CM at the welcoming desk at the airport not to make your return the very next day from the All Stars after you tell him your plans.
 
When I made the ME reservation on the phone I told them I wasn't checking out until 12/1 and from Saratoga Springs.
 
If you are arriving late I wouldn't use the yellow tags and get your own luggage and bring it to the ME area and they can put it on the buttom of the plane. So that way you have it when you get to the hotel.
 
We're arriving late on our next trip. The plane is scheduled to land at 8pm. I'm just going to not put my yellow tags on, and get the luggage myself.

I have wondered the same question as we won't be getting to our resort until 10pm as well- we are staying at CSR. I am wondering if our luggage will be delivered in the wee hours of the morning- which I don't mind anyways. I will pack a days worth of clothes in my carry- on just to be safe though.
 
We always let DME handle the bags on our late night arrivals. We arrive VERY late, (land at 11:30, to the resort by 12:30)

We tag our bags, and then bring a carryon with what we need to go to bed and get out the door the next morning.

We have never changed resorts, but in the OP case, here is what I would do.

Tag my bags, have my carryon, then when I checked in tell them we're transferring to SSR the next morning. The next morning, I would take my carryons to Luggage Services, and ask them to transfer my carryons to SSR and remind them that we have ## pieces of DME luggage that also need to be transferred to SSR.

Then I would head for the parks. Later that day, I would check into SSR, and once I got in my room, call for my bags.
 
When we have stayed at a value resort and arrived late, our luggage was held until the next morning and we called to have it delivered (I guess b/c luggage assistance is technically closed). When we arrived late for a 1 night stay at FW cabins, our luggage arrived around 1am ( guessing it was b/c their bell services operate 24hrs). We lucked out on the transfer to our other resorts that day too. When they came to pick up the luggage the next morning the driver offered to deliver us, as well as our luggage, to CR and my mom over to Pop.
