My family an I are set to arrive in Orlando at 8:00pm. Just wondering if anyone has experienced Magical Express with a similiar arrival time. I know that they estimate that you'll get your bags in 2-3 hours, but does anyone have any real life experience with this? What time did you receive your luggage?

We are packing our carry-ons with the neccessary Toiletries and Clothing to get us through the night - but I was just curious as to when we should expect our bags...

Thanks!

The three hour delivery time is the time from arrival at your resort, not your landing at the airport.

I landed around 10:00 p.m., got dropped off at POFQ around 11:00 p.m. I forgot to ask to have our luggage held 'til morning. At 1:16 a.m. (the vision of the clock radio is seared onto my brain), our phone rang. It was Bell Services asking if we wanted our luggage right now or wait 'til morning.

SO, 2.25 hours from our arrival time. So maybe expect your bags around 11:00 p.m. or midnight. If you wish, after you arrive at your resort, ask the front desk AND Bell Services to have your DME bags held 'til morning. I must have been so excited to get there that I totally forgot to make this request, and I'd been on this board for months touting my big plans to do it.

You're doing a very wise thing to take your immediate needs in your carry-ons, but you already know that!:cool2:

P.S. -- LOVE your screen name!

CleveRocks-
Thanks for that bit of advice! To be honest - I'm embarrassed to admit this - I didn't even think of asking the front desk to hold my bags until the AM.
I've been worried that my kids would be woken up, they wouldn't be able to get back to sleep, etc, etc...

Triple-safe suggestion:
. . . Ask the Front Desk to hold your luggage until the next morning, and
. . . Call Bell Services (or Luggage Assistance, if you're staying at a Value resort) when you get to your room and ask them to hold your luggage until morning, and
. . . Put the Privacy Please card in the key slot on the outside of your door before you go to sleep.

When you wake up, the message light on your phone should be blinking - call back and let them know to deliver your luggage.

To make this excellent triple-safe suggestion into a quadruple-safe suggestion:
. . . Put a tag (such as 3"x5" card with a strung through it) on each bag with the note, "Please do not deliver to room after 10 p.m. or before 8 a.m." (or whatever hours you don't want to be disturbed).

We landed at 6:15 pm - by time we checked in (7:30) went and got something to eat at the resort - our luggage was in our room. didnt check the time when we got back to the room - I would say 9:30 -10 maybe
