We will be using ME for our upcoming trip. Does that service ALWAYS use a bus? I talked with CRO and they assured me it is always, but I am just curious what others experience has been. We will be leaving DD's (1.5) car seat home since it can't be used on a bus. Just wondering if anyone has been transported in anything other that a bus?

On our last trip we were on a bus inbound, but outbound we were in a 15 passenger van. I'm not sure what we would do if we were picked up in a van or town car.

TIA

My limited knowledge says "Yes". It's always been a bus, even when it was just Mears. So far as I know, they don't have any other vehicles for public transport as a part of Magical Express.

If you had an extremely early flight departing MCO, I suppose they may have a smaller means of transport, but I don't think this the case.

Mears owns the Magical Express buses and hires the drivers as part of a huge subcontract with Disney. They also own Yellow Cabs and Checker Cabs in Orlando. If there are no buses ready to go, Mears may substitute anything else, a van, a taxi, etc. and expect any and all of their employees to "put on a Magical Express hat" for the moment.

My current suggestion is to pretend it is Magical Express in every respect, all the way down to the tip.

We used it in JUly for the return trip to the airport. It was a van, I assume because of the early hour 5am there weren't that many people so they sent a van. So to answer your question, NO it is not always a bus :pug: :pug:

It wasnt a bus when they decided not to show up for our return trip and the valet got us a cab.

Thanks all, not exactly what I was hoping to hear. I guess I will call the ME Hotline closer to our trip and get their stance on this. I just would hate to drag a car seat along if we won't use it.
