Magical Express Docs. Question...

How long before departure day does one get their magical express docs.?

also, if anyone knows, if you are renting from a dvc member, do the docs. get sent to the owner first or does disney send them straight to the renter?

For our upcoming trip 7/27, I have a DVC rental. It was a last minute idea, so the transaction took place about a 10 days ago. Disney told the member that the ME docs wouldn't arrive in time for our trip and gave me verbal instructions. However, I rec'd them about three days after she called to make the arrangements! I don't know if this is the norm or just luck. But I do know that the docs came directly from ME.

They normally shoot for 45 days out . They will be sent directly to you.

Make sure the member makes the Ressie for ME through MS as thats the only way it can be done.

Once that happens and you get your package you can contact ME directly for any changes you have.

I received our Magical Express docs at the 39 days out mark.

it is 6 weeks out, so 38 days is common. could be less, could be more.

package documents are sent out about 5 weeks before.

I've just received our ME luggage tags and bus vouchers. My question is that we didn't receive one for my son who will be 11 months. I know he is considered a "lap child" but I just want to make sure that it is normal not to receive any documentation for him. I did call ME and was told that someone will probably just print up a voucher for him at the desk at the airport. (?? ??) Anyone have experience w/this?

I just called DVC MS yesterday to make my reservation for ME and I was told the paperwork would be sent out 21 days ahead of my arrival.

that was probably true at one point. when they first started the program, they used to send them out so close to check-in that most people never even got them or they'd have to overnight them constantly. the program has progressively pushed the timeframe back.

it's 6 weeks prior to check-in now.
