Magical Express at 9 PM!?!

Hi All,

We arrive in Orlando Airport tomorrow at 9 PM. We are planning on going to Jellyrolls after check-in. We have used ME before, but never at night. Does anybody have experience with it at night? I just called ME directly and the woman I talked to said that our luggage would still get delivered that night. I am concerned that it will be held until the next morning because of it being nighttime. Any thoughts?

We have arrived at night several times and our luggage was still delivered without any problem. I would let the Bell Staff at the resort know that you do want the bags delivered as soon as they arrive - and make sure you do not have the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door.

DME is pretty efficient in the late evening. We ave often been leaving the airport within 30 minutes of the plane touching down.

how does ME work? we are thinking of using it for our january trip. how far in advance to do i make arrangements and who do i call to do so? how does jfk know where the luggage is going to go upon arrival in mco? how long after we get to resort at check in will our luggage be delivered and do we have to be in our room to receive it?

If you're going to Jellyrolls, I'd definately
let bell service/front desk know that they can
deliver it anytime because you're going out.
I've done that and usually it's there by the time
we get back from JR, but once we had to call down
and it was brought up to our room within 10 min.

As far as ME at night...
(BTW - never had a problem with ME before 8pm)

I have had nothing but problems.
I dread getting in after 8pm.
The last time we got in at 9:30 pm and
from the time we checked in to ME to the
time we got to our resort it was
3 hours and 5 minutes!

We sat on that bus for 1hour and 50 minutes
and we were not the first ones on the bus!

Other times (after 9pm) were long, but not
as bad. The 3 hr ride we had to stop at OKW,
Port Orleans - which is nowhere near where we
were going- Caribbean Beach, Boardwalk, Yacht
Club and finally Beach Club!
Absolutely Nuts!


Ok, sorry for the rant... brings back bad memories

Call at least 30 days in advance to book
yellow "magical" tags come in the mail
put them on your suitcase
and ME does the rest and your bags are
usually in your room within 2-3 hrs.

We just came back from Disney and used ME arriving after 9pm. If I remember right we went to the ME counter between 10:15 and 10:30 and were the first ones for our bus. We did wait a little while for a few more families and were at SSR,checked in and in our room between 11:30 - 11:45.

We did stop at bell services to ask about luggage being delivered. They told us that after midnight they would leave a silent message and we could call back and ask for the luggage to be brought. But at 12:45 they knocked on the door with it. We had actually packed our pj's in our carry-on, DH was waiting for his contact case which was in the luggage.

We arrived at about 8:00 pm at the end June. We waited about 25-30 min for our bus to leave I think. When we got to SSR we told bell staff to make sure to send our bags to our room. They got there at about 9:30-10ish, but one of my husbands suit cases was missing. They said it probably just got seperated during transport. We told them no matter what the time to just send it over and they did. It arrived about midnight, they knocked lightly, waited while we got up and opened the door and gave us the bag, no problems at all. Good luck

HI. Yes, we have used it at night before and it is pretty good. The only complaint I had is that since there are not a lot of people arriving, we waited a long time for the bus to arrive and than to fill up. So service is slower. But our luggage got to our room that night. Good luck.
