Magical Express: Age restrictions

The official statement from Magical Express is that guests under 16 may not travel unaccompanied. I would like my 15 yo and 16 yo to fly in to MCO a few days after us (so they don't miss too much school).

Do you think the 15 yo will be allowed to travel with his 16 yo brother? If not, how can I get these boys from MCO to our resort if we don't have a car?

I'd feel a lot safer having them on the ME than in a taxi. They've ridden ME with our family many times and know the procedure.

I would say, by the wording, they would consider anyone 16 years and older "of age".

Therefore, your 15 year would not be traveling unaccompanied. He would be traveling with someone considered "of age" for riding ME.

I would ask first if the 16 yo can accompany the 15 yo. Wouldn't it be a mess if the 2 got to MCO and couldn't get on the bus?

If Magical Express says they can't ride, could they use a town car service? If you meet them at the front of the resort?

Don't give up that easily. Sometimes, particularly if they aren't that busy, the Magical Express CM's at the welcoming area can work a magical surprise.

You should be waiting with a cell phone in the lobby of your resort "to meet the DME bus" so the youngsters can call you when they arrive in Orlando Airport.

Your going back to MCO (via DME) to escort them cannot be ruled out.

If they used the yellow DME tags on checked baggage but were ultimately unable to ride DME they should specifically go through the motions of asking the welcoming area CM's what to do about the baggage. THere may be a special procedure in effect that day that has to be followed.
