Magical Epress - no car seats allowed? Is it legal?

I don't think people pay to bring carseats; I think they pay for SEATS for their children. Some do bring car seats for a variety of reasons - but with or without shoulder belts, a car seat on a plane is still MUCH safer than a parent's lap if the plane hits turbulence.

We absolutely paid for a seat on every flight so we could put our infant daughter in her carseat and not be held. They always required that it be installed against the window, which is the most space restricted seat in any row, so it took us about 3 minutes to get it installed. We loved how on all our Orlando trips they would not allow pre-boarding for families with small children, so we had to hold up boarding all the time. Nothing like being glared at by everyone as if we had no right to be flying.

I just found so many inaccuracies on Edd's site it wasn't funny.

Of note, he states taht the same bottled water that WDW sells for $2.50 is avialable at Publix for $.21. not true. In fact I just bought it ON SALE at Publix a couple weeks ago for $.29. My guess is taht Edd is comparring Dasani to that swill known as Zephyr Hills-unfair comparisions.

He also states that Disney sells can's of beer for $5. That's absurd. They sell can's of be for about $1.35 in the gift shops.

Those two "exagerations" alone cause me to be suspicious of any claim he might make.

Thanks for the information. Evidently it has gone up a little since I last shopped at Publix. If you give me the name of the gift shops you can purchase at that price, I would list them on that site as having a can of beer for whatever. Hess probably has beer for a lot less than $5.00 also, but I suggested the price from the Disney hotels which charge that much. I don't think you can get beer in the parks. By the way, that was reported to me by visitors to the resorts, as I am not a beer drinker. So many have said that, that I have used it for an average cost because I have been told higher prices also.

Last time I was at the parks they were selling Zephyr Hills water at that price. Water is water to me. There seems to be a huge variance in the price of water in the retail stores outside of Disney.

Not so sure as to how the type of water sold at the parks relates to 'transportation' but....are you sure they are selling Zephyr Hill at the parks Edd? I was under the assumption that only 'Coke' products are there...that would be Dasani. Now, I did have some ZH ordered via a grocery online shop...ducklite is right..kinda swill like.

Anyway....back to DME and car seats...which of course, there are not!! No seat belts, hence no car seats. The car seats get stowed under the bus. If you're planning on using the Disney buses to get to the parks, you will find that the DME buses will make you feel safe....safer than the park buses anyway!!! All that standing, and glaring at those who aren't giving you their seat etc.

It was ZH water because I noted it, at that time I was paying something like .65 a bottle at the 7/11. That was probably over a year ago. Haven't been visiting lately.

Wow... they haven't had Zephyr Hills water in the parks in YEARS. Probably at least 4-5 years, if not more.

in late 2002, Walt Disney World replaced Zephyrhills with Dasani as the bottled water brand — ending a 30-year relationship between Walt Disney World and Zephyrhills.

I actually like Zephyrhills Spring Water better than Coca Cola's Dasani purified water. Zephyrhills is actual spring water. Dasani is tap water that is purified and then augmented with a mineral additives. I like how Zephyrhills tastes.

We always start our WDW vacations with several gallons of Zephyrhills water, which we either buy during a towncar grocery stop or have delivered (along with other groceries) by WeGoShop.com.

Time goes by fast when you are getting old.

Perhaps they were quoting the price of beer at a resort bar and not the gift shop? It's not at all outside the realm of possibility that a can of beer opened by a bartender could retail for $5 at a WDW resort bar.

YES! Just found it ....

And I'm sure that the decision created quite the sponsorship dilemma: Coke or Nestle? (Dasani is a Coke brand, and Zephyrhills is part of Nestle.) Both companies have exclusive beverage contracts with Disney.

I'm with Horace. If I'm going to pay for water in a bottle, I much prefer it be spring water, as opposed to Miami or Jacksonville tap water.
