Magical EBTA 2017

Yeah, we saw her :-) , 3 times, first before going through the locks, 2nd right after the locks and 3rd halfway.
So it was probably me 3 times with the glove (?) ;-) Did not see any other Disney fans, only cruiseship fans. I'll try to post some pictures later. It was so lovely seeing her and all you people waving back, felt a bit like we were om board. We cruised on the Dream, the Fantasy and the Wonder, never saw the Magic before
Have fun!!

I also filmed where we were waving and greating eachother but it's to big to post here.
This were photo's taken on my phone, will post some from our camera later

Last evening, we watched the beautiful country side and friendly people waving . It was a wonderful experience. Even at the lock there were folks waving and smiling.

Yeah, the Disney Magic made a great impression in the Netherlands :-) We loved seeing her here!
We watched her sail away on the webcams of Port of Amsterdam and IJmuiden locks

When I get home, I will try to post some pictures of the water salute we experienced in Amsterdam upon leaving. I will get home late Tuesday.

Also, I want to thank everyone for participating in the Candy Exchange, we have a lot to enjoy still! By the way, those are some of the best Buckeyes that we ever had! We just moved from Dayton Ohio!

Just arrived home! Thanks to everyone on the boards who realised who I was and said Hello! (I was the one dressed as a parrot on pirate night!) :), the exchange was fantastic and I'll certainly up my game for next time.

We've got a placeholder for the 2019 transatlantic, gonna wait for the youngun to be a bit older so she can take full use of the facilities

Mentioned this to my husband, and yes, we both saw you! Great!

Water salute as we were leaving Amsterdam!

Great pictures :-) I hope you all had a great time in Amsterdam, I must say that the Magic did not sail the most beautiful canal in the Netherlands because of all the industry, but it is the only way for a ship that big to come to Amsterdam ;-)

Got home at 2:30 am on Thursday June 1. Wow, what a great time, even though I caught the cough!
What I learned on my first Disney Cruise.
1. Took waaayy too much clothing. I planned on cold, and it was warm most days.
2. Laundry was easy peasy if timed right so do a load when you need it
3. Even on Formal night, you can get away with nothing too formal, the ship is very casual
4. You make friends everywhere...the guests are so happy to be there and the crew so helpful.
5. Go to first run movies early as the Buena Vista is kind of small.
6. Breakfast room service is simple, yet very efficient, they are always there on time and most times call ahead to warn you they are coming. Wake up calls are also on time.
7. Go hungry to brunch at Palos.....so many yummy things on the buffet tables.
8. Mickey bars are available even at lunch or dinner in the dining rooms
9. You can't help but have a good time...even as a solo traveler like me...
so much so I signed up for another cruise, the WBTA out of Dover Sept 2018
with some of my new found table mate friends!!:rainbow:

PS Thanks to all of you folks on the boards as your help was greatly appreciated. Now I am a veteran so I may be of some help too (see above "what I've learned comments).
My trip was brilliant and I loved the Magic, she is so pretty! I really liked my Navigator Verandah too, as I could be outside but shielded by the wind. I also liked being at the back of the ship, even though I could feel the hum of the propellers a bit, but the beds are so comfortable I fell right asleep.
So see some of you on the new meet for the WBTA Sept 9, 2018!!!!
