Magical EBTA 2016

I think you should go - they have 2 parks so not bad.
i think the important thing to remember about DLP is that it's in France! I know that sounds really crazy, but so many people from the UK go to WDW and have the whole American experience then go to DLP and slate it as they expect it to be exactly the same and it's not. Enjoy it for what it is - Disney, just a little bit different! We've been 5 or 6 times and will likely be going again in Dec 2016 (it's really cold then but lovely).

I hope to be able to go. Your description has me interested.

I also highly recommend Disneyland Paris. While their Studios is, IMO, a bit lacking, the Disneyland park is not-to-be-missed. I think it is the most beautiful of all the Disney parks, although we've yet to go to Tokyo or Hong Kong.

Hi Everyone! I just sent a request to my TA to book us on this cruise!!!! It'll be me, hubby Jarrod (who will turn 41 just after cruise on 6/3), daughter Haley (will be 17 and just finishing her junior year), and son Cameron (who will be 10 and just finishing 4th grade). We are native Texans but reside in Mississippi. Hubby and I have been on 6 DCL cruises and the kids have been on 4. Our favorite was our Panama Canal in 2011 :-)

We would definitely be interested in a candy/treat exchange... already have something great in mind! I would also like to do the FE exchange. I love creating on my embroidery machine and have a ton of fun making FE gifts!

I would love for my daughter to connect with some other teen girls before the cruise. She is very shy and is not looking forward to going to the teen club without knowing anyone before hand. She loves movies and hanging out with us so she said she'll be fine. But I'd like for her to give the club a chance and meet some new friends as she always enjoyed the clubs when she was younger.

Anyway... looking forward to getting to know everyone before the cruise!!!

There is plenty of time to sign up for the Candy Exchange. I will keep the groups between 6-11 so no one gets a sugar overload. We use Fish Extenders to give candy or treats of local or regional interest. Close to the date, I'll ask for your cabin # , how many will be in the cabin and if there are any allergies we should know about.

Hi Bobbi,

My husband, Tom and I were on the Transatlantic EB in 2013 so we may have met. We went on the WB Panama Canal trip in 2014. We aren't cruising this year because it is time to take are almost 2year old grandson to WDW. The whole family is going and we are staying at Animal Kingdom. I really missed taking a cruise this year. The 2016 trip will be our 9th Disney Cruise. I love the long cruises as it gives you ample time to relax and get to know your fellow cruisemates and enjoy the ship. I can't wait to see the Magic's updates. It is our favorite ship. I sure hope this crossing will be as great as it was in 2013. The Atlantic Ocean was calm every day but one. We will spend some time in London to visit with friends but am also thinking of going to Paris. It is one major city in Europe that I haven't visited.

Hi, looking forward to seeing you again, or for the first time!:) I love my memories of our first WDW trip with our grandchildren, then 1,2&3! My mom then 86 was with us, so 4 generations. Have a most wonderful time together.

Yes, that crossing was so great. I do have a December cruise booked on the Magic, and I can't wait to sail on her again!

HI I just sign4ed up for this cruise on the DVC member Cruise! I am so excited to join this cruise - it will be a BTB for us as we are doing the Norway cruise after. It will be me and DH and DD (22). I will be reading this thread later today and sign up for FE. Can't wait to chat with everyone - HI Bobbi!!

Would you please add us to the roll call for this cruise?
Thanks so much!:daisy:

Bobbi
I am working on David to join the candy exchange. He enjoyed doing it on the cruise but does not want all the extras for this cruise because of the weight with the luggage - I told him that means we just need to eat the candy and not take it home! hee hee - so I will let you know! It was fun getting all different kinds of candy and I don't feel like we got too much and besides it is fun to share!
Hope you and Tom are doing well - Did you do any house hunting in FL? We missed all the cool weather in MO - it is very hot and humid here. I go to sleep and think I am on the ship and going into port when I wake up and then think - nope got to go to work! UGH!
Have a great day - I have to get working!
Lynn

Lynn, we looked at an area, Port St Lucie, but we decided against it. Someone on the MC suggested we look at Winter Haven.

The most participants I envision in a single candy exchange is 11, and if that is the number of participants I would ask if you wanted a group of 5 and a group of 6. On the Member cruise there were 32 participants, so there were 4 groups of 8. Some folks did pixie dust others, you did that, thank you!

You know we are retired, but once we do get to be snowbirds, we will both look for part time jobs or volunteer work.

We bought Rick Steves book on France to get ideas of what to do and how to get around in France!

I love Rick Steves - I have his London book I am reading right now! I have been taping his shows if he does anything on London or Norway. I am going to start my research next week for the TA cruise. I assigned London to Jennifer to research. I have my hotel booked for after the Norway cruise = so she can handle the rest and I get final approval. I am so excited for the TA Cruise = Got my pre and post stay booked at WDW - cheaper to fly in/out of Orlando than STL - so we can squeeze in a few WDW days! Got my rental car also! I am planning on booking my return airfare this week-end. A co-worker is going to London at the end of the month - she is planning on doing Harry Potter - so I can't wait to hear what she thinks!
How are your plans coming along for after the cruise? Paris?? Yes ?
Lynn

Lynn, we bought the book...that's what we've done. We need to get past our Hawaiting trip. Ship sails Sept 11, and I just printed out the information on the National Historic site we want to visit on Hawaii, The Place of Refuge. While on that island, we're going to meet the Disboarder mommy-to-two who lives there. I'm just learning all I can about Aulani and Ohahu.

In general, in France, we will go to DL Paris for at least 3 nights, then stay in Paris for 3 nights as long as we can get a tour of the sites of Normandy that leaves out of Paris. Otherwise we will stay near Normandy beaches for 1-2 nights. After Hawaii, my research will begin in earnest.

We also need to know if we need pre cruise stay in WDW, or if we will be living in FL. That should be answered soon, as the "buyers" now know the absolute deadline is nearing.

Hi There,

Bruce and I will be going with you on this cruise. I am trying to persuade my sister and sister in law to come with us too. Looking forward to investigating the ports with everyone!!!

So nice that you and Bruce will be on this cruise! Will you be staying at WDW before the cruise? I have a night booked at AKL Jambo before the cruise - and two nights after our Norway Cruise. I also met a very nice lady on the DVC member cruise (not from our DIS Group) who is going on the TA Cruise! I tried to convince my table mates to join us on this cruise.
Lynn

Belle cruiser, do you enjoy main or second seating? We are in main.
