My fellow CM has a thread going about Magical Moments. Since I'm in the Entertainment Department, let's also share special interactions you have had or seen with the Characters. I can't wait to hear your stories!

We were just on the Fantasy in August and my two granddaughters and us were just hanging out on Deck 4 by the Vista Cafe and who comes bouncing towards us none other than but Peter Pan...he stopped to interact with the babies and they were so enthralled. Even though they don't really know who Peter Pan is yet (only 1 year olds who haven't seen the movie) they were just so excited to see him. It was precious!!

Another time I was on the Dream with my mom (in her 80's) and we were also on Deck 4 looking over the railing watching the excitement of the atrium and all of a sudden I see Aladdin leaning over my mom and asking her if anything interesting was going on down there....they chatted for a bit and my mom thought it was so cool she was hanging with Aladdin!!!

We were at the Frozen Deck Party in Alaska on 8/11/16, on deck 10. Alaskan Daisy was dancing with my 2 girls, ages 16 and 12 when the Wonder's horn blew, making both my girls jump. Daisy immediately covered both their ears. It was so sweet and cute--and something they'll both remember for a long time!

My magical moment was a real accident, I went to the Anna, Elsa and Olaf meet and greet on the Magic. It was in Animator's Palate. The first interaction is with Olaf, he signed my autograph book, took a few pictures. Since I was solo, I put my stuff down gave my camera to the CM. When I was picking up my stuff, I had bent down and then stood up and Olaf's nose went into my ear! Let's just say everyone was laughing!

Oh...your mention of Olaf reminded me of this special interaction....riding the elevator with Olaf on the EBTA in 2015!!!Olaf Elevator.jpg Olaf 2.jpg

On one of my first cruises on the Wonder, my wife and I were greeting the sunrise and who should walk up behind us - Mickey Mouse. It was special and totally unexpected. Who would have thought a character was loose that early in the morning.

These unexpected and totally random interactions are the best part of our Character Friends day! Less formal than a meet and greet, anything goes! A friend of mine, Dale, stole some popcorn from outside the movie theatre and sat and shared it with some guests. So fun!

Love seeing pictures of the characters walking hand-in-hand with kids anywhere on the deck 4 promenade.

I was really hoping to have a Magical Character moment for my kids... but the best I got was my toddler running after Mickey Mouse as he was walking back to his quarters and my toddler started screaming/crying after he went in his door... woohoo, LOL.

Hoping to have more moments on a longer cruise though.

I did see Snow White in the Small World Nursery reading with the kids in there though, that was sweet.

We did a couple of cruises B2B last year, and met a friend of Elsa's and a friend of Anna's when they were working as character line attendants on the cruise before they officially took over as friends.

The next cruise we took the kids to the Frozen meet and greet, and they were so excited that Anna and Elsa knew their names. We then went on a port adventure in Norway where we went to Sunmore Village and met Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. It was the same friend of Anna (different for Elsa) so Anna called out my kids' names as they approached. Elsa and Kristoff then followed suit. My 2yo son wouldn't leave Elsa, just wanted to sit on her lap. Just beautiful. Something so simple makes such a difference.

One more I just remembered. On our first cruise in 2011 we had 'tea with the princesses'. Tiana had made her way around everyone and was waiting for the other princesses to finish. My daughter was 2 at the time and stood on the chair to be able to see Tiana better. Tiana spent the next 5 minutes just talking with my daughter over the back of the chairs whilst she was waiting for the others. I'm sure she couldn't understand a word our daughter said as she was just speaking so fast, but she paid her so much attention and it was beautiful.

Two (kinda three) come to mind from the ship (my most magical one was in the parks, but I've had some on the ships as well)...

Our first Disney cruise (all adults, my parents and sister and I were celebrating our parents' 45th anniversary the Dream in July - so bigger ship, summer high season, sailing full as the no upgrades sign was out), when I met Captain Jack Sparrow on Pirate night, he had this whole thing going with me about "Any rings on those little hands?" and when I shook my head he grinned and said "Just how I like them." And THEN the next day he came sauntering along Serenity Bay (I swear the water would not have cleared faster if someone yelled "Shark!" :rotfl2:), and when I got up to him, he immediately was all "Darling... About that ring..." I said "Nope, still no rings" he said "I don't know what happened. I put it in the mail to you." I was just bowled over that he would actually remember me!

The other that really stands out is from my Feb 2015 Fantasy cruise on Pirate Night. I was waiting in line for Donald and Daisy (and maybe Minnie, but I avoid her as she's not my favorite) and happened to be in the front of the line. Daisy kind of dissed Donald and he was sad. I said something to him about how unfair she was and he got all happy and hugged me multiple times and then paraded me around in front of Daisy. It was funny... And part of it made the video they showed at the See Ya Real Soon party! (I didn't even SEE the videographer around that time!!)

On our first we were on our way up to the mini golf first thing in the morning (before 9am I think). On the deck right below the mini golf we discovered Mickey laying on a lounge chair. He acted surprised that we had caught him slacking off and hugged the kids and was sweet. Of course we did not have their autograph books or even a camera (only time we ever left the room without them)!

On the Dream we ran into Goofy in his pajamas. Oops, he was sleepwalking! My daughter was picked to wake him up. She was thrilled and it made for some awesome pictures!!

On our second cruise, DD really connected with Aurora. Aurora let DD walk her from the princess meet and greet to the door, it was so cute watching them walk hand-in-hand down the hallway. From that point forward, Aurora called DD by name every time they met. At the See You Soon party, Aurora planted a big kiss on DD's cheek. She said she would never wash her face again!

I shared an elevator ride with Minnie Mouse on my recent Alaskan cruise in June 2016!

One we remember distinctly: On Pirate night, we decided to take in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie playing in the Buena Vista Theater on the Dream - much to our surprise - and DELIGHT - Captain Hook entered the theater and sat down in one of the front rows to watch the movie for a few minutes! No autographs, selfies, or interruptions - it was WONDERFUL! Whenever anyone asks us why we sail DCL - this is one of the events we describe.

Have you got any Behind the Ears secrets you can share with us DCLPrincess???

On our recent Alaskan cruise, our first, I snapped a photo of our two granddaughters posing with Minnie. The 3 year old had asked me many times prior to the cruise of she could go see Mickey and Minnie. This photo I felt captured the moment.
