Does anyone on if Disney is still doing this? We won't need our 2005 points and if they do buy them back we could increase our points.

Disney discontinued the Magical Beginnings plan when they started selling SSR. We bought into DVC last year, and this was one of the questions I asked my guide.

This is why there is such a flood of points available on the rent/trade board. Everyone has all these points that they don't know what to do with.

I know, personally I can hardly fathom that problem. I'd be off on a spontaneous trip quicker than they could get those points into my account. I have a feeling I will never be in a position to rent out my points, 'not that there's anything wrong with that'.

We just did a 120 point add-on and they "gave" us 2005 points. We have all of our vacations booked for this year and those points have to be used by July 31st. I am in a quandry as to rent them (which I've been trying to do) or they said I can bank them. I thought I would rent them and the cash would replace what we used to buy them in the first place, but....renting is not as easy as it seems and it would be nice to have another 120 points to play with next year!

If I can't get them rented by Monday, I'm going to bank 'em and have fun, fun, fun next year!

We used up half of our points for a trip last year shortly after we bought, banked the rest and are going 3x with the left over 2005 points and the 2006 points.
