I was wondering if the dining is worth it. It seems like a good deal, averaging around $70 per day for 2 people staying 7 days. Anyone have any experiences they'd like to share about this? :wave2:

I thought it sounded like a good deal...'til I realized DH and I couldn't eat that much food in a day anyway so it wasn't such a good deal for us. We've already decided that if it's offered for our next trip...we won't use it.

You might try looking over on the Restaurants board...or do a search on the main board and you will find TONS of info!! This topic was discussed HEAVILY last year.

Some folks LOVED it, some HATED it...it really depends on where you either plan or like to eat and it's imperative that you have a clear understanding of the program.

YES!!! DF and I love to eat, especially on vacation. :teeth: As we all know Disney can be expensive. The dining plan includes one counter service, one snack(which includes drinks), and a table service. What one dinner would cost, pays for the whole day (and the tip is included). The plan includes almost all restaurants too ( the really nice ones use 2 TS points). It was so nice not having to carry around cash since you use your room key as the meal card (and your charge card too). We ate at the Italian restuarant in Epcot and had an appetizer, main course, and dinner each. The bill came to $75, and it was covered. You really get your $ worth.

We did the Disney Dining on our last trip. There was 3 of us, we thought it was great and worth every penny. We ate at many of the countries in Epcot and around the resorts. I can tell you we ate in Le Cellar in Canada, our bill was over $200 that we would have had to fork out if we didn't use the dining plan. We definitly will use it during our wedding. I even placed the information about Disney Dining in my newsletter to all my guests.

I agree, its definitely worth it! My DH2B and I are not usually the type of people who eat at nice places during vacation 'cuz we hate to spend the money, but on the dining plan we got to eat at so many great places that we never would have usually been able to afford. We figured that we ate much more than the cost of the plan every day and we even had leftover snacks to take with us for the plane ride home.
I totally recommend the plan if you like to eat! :thumbsup2

Can you get the Dining Plan if you're using Annual Passes? For some reason, I think that you need to buy the Magic Your Way tickets to get the plan, but I may imagining that :cool1:

This plan would be great for us, but we'll be using APs ....

We got it, it sounds great. It's my first Disney trip, and DH says Disney is expensive. DH and I can easily spend $70 on one meal, it's worth it to us, especially b/c I need 3 meals a day.

I just started a new thread about this!!! They are offering Disney Dining for FREE!!!! I just called this morning and added it to my existing package!!! Somehow i ended up with a $156 credit!!! The guy doing the reservation couldn't believe it either, he did it three times to be sure!!! But it seems an incredible savings...I'm still in shock...I mean, do y'all know how much money this will save us?!

I'm confused a bit though b/c I have no idea how the Dining plan really works...I'll have to do some research!!!

anyhow, check it out ladies!!!
