Magic Your Way Tickets beginning January 2, 2005

Anyone know that?

So far I have for comparison,

7 day Magic ticket $199
Magic Premium Ticket (Includes Hopping and Plusses and DQ and PI) $80
No Expiration Option $55

Total $334 plus tax.

At first I was going to purchase some extra hoppers too but this may work out better, with the DQ and PI option.

They should add another option where you can buy a Plus Pack without the Park days.

Okay I found it, it is 6.5% tax so that would be $355.71 for the Magic Ticket 7 day Hopper with plusses, Hopping and no expiration. The Gate price for a 7 day PHP is $364.23

I think that the new system will take some getting used to, but this creates a tremendous range of opportunities for people to make a trip affordable.

Mousesavers now lists a 10 day ticket for $209... only 10 bucks more than the 7 day base ticket..... Still nothing on the Offical site that I can find......

OK, my head is spinning! We have brand new 7 PHP tickets to use up while I try to digest this news. Thank heavens for the disboards, you guys will be crunching these numbers and posting the benefits, I'm sure.

rwc :D

It seems with the flat rate of $45 bucks for the plus's regardless of lenght of pass, short sheets the 1-5 day folks outta some plus's.... I mean the 7 day upgrade you will recieve 5 plus's for the $45 bucks, with the 1-3 days base passes you only get 3 plus's for the same $45.I think if you dont cough up the money for the no expire option, and dont hop, these are great prices!

And with the PHP you only get 4 plus's.... hmmmmmm

Now, we usually get the 5 day park hopper passes at TDS and pay about $235 with tax for the adult pass which don't expire. Mousesavers is listing the Advance purchase price for a 5day pass with park hopping option as $221, if I add the no exipration option it will cost $256 BEFORE tax. This doesn't seem to be saving me any money. We like the "no expiration" option because we sometimes decide to spend a day at the pool instead of the parks, but not always. In the past we have been able to piece together another 5day pass with usused days from other vacations. It was nice not having to buy one of the tickets that year. I also like the option of park hopping so I'm not married to my itinerary and we can be flexible. I guess that's the key, if you want flexibility you must pay for it. The plus options seem like they might be worth it for some people, but we're not interested in those options yet, maybe when the kids get older. I'm just glad I'm making 2 trips this year and can get my AP with the new discount and not worry about crunching the numbers!! :D
