Magic your way & Magic bands?

When we went to Disney last year they did not have the magic bands yet. We got a package in the mail with all the info ect and I made all my reservations online. Can someone please explain the whole process to me now? When I book my trip, what all can I do online to adjust it, when do I get my magic bands (we will stay at contemporary) do my ADR automatically link to my account and bands, how do you add you fast pass+ to your bands? Does everything just link to them when you add things via your online account?

Well, it's my understanding and I am sure someone will correct me, but, you should receive your magic bands 30 days before you arrive and your fast past "ressie" should be on them. Not sure what happens if you change your mind on the fast pass tho.

Ok I think I do remember reading you can pick your fast passes 60 days prior so you choose them before you get your bands and all that info will be on the bands when they arrive?

so if you book early enough, they will mail you your magic bands. If not, you pick them up at your hotel. They are linked to your disney account and it acts as your room key, dining plan card, tickets and fast pass. You don't use them to check into your ADR, but you can change them online through your account. Also, your fast passes can be changed online (or on an app on your phone, etc) and it will link to your band. Hope that helps.

Sorry. You do book fast passes in advance, they will link to your band, and then you should be able to use the band in the parks for that. If you do it all online, you don't have to use the fast pass kiosks in the parks.
