Magic Your Way Dining Questions

In finalizing my budget for my upcoming trip, I thought I'd better verify my understanding of the new Magic Your Way Dining Package. Is it safe to assume that it runs concurrently with my resort reservation? I'm staying 6 nights at All Star Movies. Does this mean that we get 6 days of meals?

Additionally, I asked the reservationist when I switched my reservations to the Magic Your Way Package in January, but didn't get a "definitive" answer for the following:

My son who is on the "child" package usually orders from the Adult menu when we "pay as we go". Primarily at the Counter-Serve restaurants, I notice that some of the child menus offer little more than peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and hot dogs. Does he have to order from the Children's Menu? I was hoping that we could receive a credit (even if it's only a token amount, say $5.00) towards something off the Main Menu.

Has anybody experienced this yet or have a suggestion?

If not, I guess I'm stuck with the hot dog!

MYW Dining goes by the nights you stay, not days.
So I belive you are correct that you get 6 days of meals, since you are staying 6 nights.
They follow the number of nights since check in is after 4 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m.

If you paid the child's, I am sure you can only get child's menus choices. I am sure it varies from restaurant and CM. They will always be someone proving someone else wrong. I have read some posts where the rules were very defined and followed to the t. And others that were a little more lax.
But if it were me I would plan on the child's choices and ask if something else was possible when needed. Worse they can do is say No.

Yes, unfortunately he would have to order off of the childrens menu. But he would also get an appetizer and desert I believe so it should be enough food. If your concerned, I would suggest lots of buffet choices, because then he gets to eat what you eat and there would be plenty. There are lots of buffet restaraunts and character dinners on the plan.
