We're going in our first cruise in January - five nights out of Miami.
Wondering if there are any table service options for embarkation day. Buffet is hard with three littles - I'm usually the work horse running around for food while my husband tries to keep the kids happy at the table. Not sure which job is worse...
Also, can the fireworks be seen from the starboard side of the ship. Thought that might be easier with the littles too as we have a balcony room. Thanks for any advice!!!!

Typically, Carioca's is also open. However, it's also a buffet on embarkation day, but they do show you to a table first and take (and serve) your drink orders.

No table service is open for embarkation lunch.

While you can see the fireworks from some starboard side verandahs, some of the verandahs you're asked not to be out on during the fireworks. Those room affected receive a letter in the room asking that you not be on your verandah during the fireworks (due to fall out).

We were in room 7548 recently on the Magic, received no letter, and had a great view of fireworks from our balcony.

Cariocas isn't generally as hectic as Cabanas for embarkation lunch. I'm not sure they have as many kid friendly choices though.

I would go to Cabanas. More choices, and if you get an early boarding time it won't be that crazy up there. Depends on if you go straight to eat or if you are going to wait in line for princess tickets, etc. before lunch.

Personally with 3 kids to wrangle, I'd skip both buffets and grab food from the Quick Service area and eat out on the pool deck.
