Magic Stateroom Recommendations

We are seriously considering booking one of the NYC cruises next fall. I've only sailed the Magic once in an inside stateroom. For this cruise, we'd like a verandah. On the Fantasy our favorite room category is 5E. Are there similar staterooms at the back of the Magic? If not, what location/room category would you recommend?

TIA!

When I was on the Magic I stayed on Deck 6. I liked the location, in between the decks, dining, and activities.

we had 6578 and absolutely loved it. it was just DH and I so not sure how many in a room you were planning on having. It was somewhat close to the mid ship elevators (we always took the stairs up and and down) and we never heard noise above or below us.

I agree with New England Mickey, we almost always stay on deck 6 on the Magic and Wonder.
We usually get a category 5B,midship near the elevators.

Last year we traveled with our grandkids and stayed on deck 5 for the first time near the clubs, it was a good location if you are bringing kids in and out of the clubs, nice and close, but also very quiet.

For our B2B next year, I was lucky enough to score a secret verandah on deck 6, its more aft than mid-ship but it was a big savings cost wise because its a 7A category. It has a small obstruction in the corners and thats ok with us, also it has plexiglass instead of the wall.

I love Deck 6 and Deck 7, midship. We sailed in May and stayed on Deck 8 forward. There was a little noise from Deck 9, but it was not disruptive.

Re: Canadian 2017, my TA booked us 6540 and it looks like a lovely room... I went online and noticed 7596 was open for only $40 more so I had him switch it to deck 7, mainly because we're used to staying on Deck 8 on the Magic and Wonder and slow shift to another deck for us, deck 7 is less dramatic of a change than deck 6 but both decks sound lovely

I've stayed in 6133 and 6135, which were inside staterooms and 7126 and 8036, which were verandah rooms (7126 is porthole, secret verandah).

How was 6133? I am in 6131 and can't find many trip reports. Never been up that end of the ship before.

I actually loved that location and specifically that room. I haven't been there since 2013, so I don't know the current condition but I remember it being a really nice room!
