Has anyone had this secret porthole room on the Magic? I'd love to hear your thoughts. My girls and I had an inside stateroom on deck 6 on our first cruise and were quite happy with it. This time though all I can find through the DCL website is deck 1 and 2. The TA offered me this one and while it's $350 more I think it might be worth it for the deck alone.

We sailed in 5522 which would be the same cabin but the opposite side of the ship. We enjoyed it. The view was slightly obstructed but not enough to bother us. Also, its a very quiet area of the ship as there are not many cabins and the only reason one would have to go there is if they were staying in that part of the ship. Short walk to the movie theater, its just down the hall. Very short tip to the Walt theater, just down a set of stairs, so after the shows when everyone is crowded into the elevator area your already back to your room.
I was worried about the motion of being in the front of the ship but felt very little. I think you will enjoy this cabin.

We had that room and the connecting 5024 last fall. Great rooms! You could see outside for an inside price. We loved the location. Close to all activities and just steps away from the elevator and staircase. Easy to get to the atrium and we enjoyed the 5th floor atrium overlook watching the parties and shows there. I'd say go for it!
