Magic Shots and Photos on the Deck

Hi everyone! We have an upcoming trip on the Disney Magic in a couple of weeks. We have gotten the photo package in the past, but we haven't been on a cruise for about a year and a half. When I was checking out past navigators from the last couple of months, I noticed they only listed photo opportunities for the lobby around dinner time. Are they still doing photos up on the deck like the ones with the life rings and magic shots? I know they also did a special photo in Rapunzel's royal table with the lantern in the past, but didn't see that listed either. I thought they were just not on the paper navigators but I see them listed for the fantasy, but not on the Magic or the Dream. Has anyone been on recently that can let me know how that stuff was working? I was trying to figure out if the photo package was still worth it for us. Thank you so much!

Magic shots can be done anywhere. They did a lot in the great hall on the Treasure maybe they do it on the other ships too. I remember doing the Ring one on the Fantasy in Oct. that one was on the 4th deck and inside.

They are still doing dining room photos.

We were just on The Magic, they did Rapunzel lanterns only on night one. We were on The Magic in September and they did it on two nights so . We were disappointed they didn’t do any magic shots on the pool deck like they have in the past. The only ones we saw were the ones in the lobby before dinner.( chip and dale)
They also did some cool shots with a light saber and then they put baby yoda? I think (sorry not a Star Wars person ) in one of the shots They also did Frozen where they put a snowflake in your hand

That was what I was worried was happening. Some of my favorite photos they take are up on the deck but I think they are cutting back on opportunities. Thank you for letting me know what you saw!

We were just on the Magic last week as well. We had the light saber pics taken and yes they put in a baby yoda. We also did a pirate night pic where you look up and they put in treasure falling from the sky. There were no magic shots on the pool deck.

Were the Rapunzel lanterns on the navigator?

Yes it was. They did it at Preludes.
