Anyone know who is the current Captain and Cruise Director on the Magic right now? Sailing in early February

I don't know the answer to this but we're going to be on the Magic late January. I am curious to know why you'd like to know.
I'm a first time cruiser so it's honest curiosity.

Many people like a certain cruise director. My preference is Clayton. A cruise director can bring your cruise up or down a little. Captain I really don't care they are all more than capable to get us there safely.

Andy is the current captain and will be through the Transstlantic sailing,. I cannot remember who the cruise director was.

Ah, thanks for the reply!

I can't remember the captain but cruise director was Ray. We sailed the Magic on Dec 18th.

Just sailed the Magic on the Dec 18th sailing and Ray was the cruise director.

Each Cruise Director has their own style, often after people have cruised with a few they develop preferences. I have never heard anyone say they are going to change their plans because they found out a certain CD was on their cruise. Our first was Christian so he holds a special place in our hearts, Clayton is from our hometown so of coursed he is our favorite, Natalie was a cast member on several of our cruises prior to becoming a CD so we have history with her and she happens to know us making her a joy to be with. Having sailed with most CDs, whether their first time or 15th year, I would not be disappointed to find out any were on my cruise, have enjoyed each of them.

Captains are a bit less impactful for us, although Capt Thord is our favorite. Again each is great some are a bit more interactive than others. On the longer cruises, PC, TA, Hawaii, they have more opportunity to get out and about, participate in some challenges or interactive activities and you get to know them more. Just seems that because your first cruise is so intoxicating that the officers who made it so special are very high on your list of favorites.

I am just curious - have sailed with Clayton, Ray, and Brent as cruise directors before

We sailed the Magic Jan 15-20, 2016 and Clayton was our Cruise Director. Captain Andy, as someone mentioned, is the current ship Captain.

We just got off the Magic and it was Captsin Andy and CD Clayton. We cruised Jan 24-29. :)

We enjoyed cruising with CD Clayton earlier this month as well, he is fabulous!!

We had Captain Tom and Cruise Director was Rachel. Captain steered the ship just fine, but seemed a little uncomfortable when having to have his photo taken with the passengers. Rachel didn't have the best voice for someone who does public address announcements, but other than that, they had no impact on my cruise good or bad.
My first cruise, on Paquet...a small French cruise line...on the Mermoz, about 450 passengers, the Captain and Cruise Director had a much bigger impact because the Captain was the FEATURED singer on board, and the Cruise Director was the FEATURED comedian.

I think Rachel left a few years ago now?

How far in advance can you generally find out who the captain and cruise director will be on sailings. We are doing the Med in August and are curious to find out. The kids have their faves.
