Magic: November 1, 2013 5 night Western

We are at AKL. Our son, who works for DVC and is sailing with us Friday, got ill today at EPCOT while we were trying to be nice to him and buy him lunch during his break. He had some sort of episode, unknown origin, but they have ruled out heart - which is way good!! - but are keeping him overnight because he still was not feeling right. So, prayers if you got 'em! He will be SO sad if he has to miss this cruise!! Hopefully they will have him back on his feet tomorrow.

Wow. Really hope he's back to normal real quick! :)

I am having a super hard time not telling my son that we are going! I would love to meet up with y'all on departure day but am hoping to have my son resting at that time. We have a 5:55am flight on Friday with a 3:45 wake up.

Getting excited now because it is one day closer to Friday!!!

I called the hospital and talked with Jeff. He was talking with the head nurse, so we kept it short, but he said they are sending him home in a bit. :yay::dance3: We will get the scoop on him later after he gets home. He sounded good, like his old self though! :goodvibes Maybe he is just keeping mom on her toes!!

Great news! Very glad to hear!!

Palo brunch will make him feel better...:yay:

Sorry if this has already been asked.....is there a semi-formal night on this cruise? Trying to figure out if I 'really' need to pack my husband a jacket. I couldn't seem to figure out how to just search this thread, instead of all the boards.

We are SO excited for the sailing. We've been on two 3 night trips and this is our first 5 night!!!

YIPPEE!!!!!!!!! I am dreaming of the drink of the day!

There will be an optional dress up night - up to you if you want a jacket for hubs - mine will probably do without

Thanks - Of course I NOW see the "search this thread option". LOL.

Off to packing!

A jacket is still required for Palo, correct? We don't have reservations for Palo yet, but we're going to see what was available once we we're on board and after we get our dining rotation. Hubby is bringing his jacket anyways...we like dressing up for semi formal night. We don't get to do it very often here at home :)

Jacket is encouraged but dress shirt/tie will be fine.

Good reminder about Palo. We have reservations for Brunch on one of the sea days. I will pack the jacket anyway!!! We have two little girls who are VERY excited about the idea of a "semi formal" night.

We did not bring jacket. DH will just wear a dress shirt and slacks.

Dress shirt will be fine for dinner and collared shirt with slacks will be fine for brunch.

I've sported the Aloha shirt and chinos at brunch and not been out of place.

You should have it now. It took me a few minutes to type in all the emails. DH said I should have made a group the first time. I told him I'm old and don't know how. :lmao::confused3:rotfl2: Let me know if you did not receive it yet. Check your junk box too since your computer might think I'm a scary lady. :surfweb::eek:
I got it! And no... My computer knows who is scary and who isn't and since the first day on the DisBoard, you've been added to my favorites! :)

Just what a doctor should order - recouping on a lounge chair, soaking up the Caribbean sun. So glad he is feeling better!! :goodvibes
