Magic Mornings and AP

I plan on a very leisurely, solo trip the first week of December. I'm staying at a good neighbor hotel and I want park entrance for seven days. That pretty much equates to a deluxe passport. Does that qualify for Magic Mornings the same as other multi-day passes?

No magic morning with an AP unless you stay onsite (then it's EMH). But you can buy a 3 day (or longer) ticket, use the magic morning, then upgrade to the AP. Of course, you won't get the AP discounts until you make the upgrade.

A current AP does NOT entitle the pass holder to MM.

If you are getting a new AP, then first buy a Park Pass that includes MM and once you have used it then upgrade the pass to an AP. They will apply the full amount paid for the Park Pass to the cost of the AP.

If you don't care about Park Hopping it is cheaper to get a 3 day & 4 days pass than to get the deluxe AP. This also means 2 MM days.

Yes, I second everything said above about getting a regular ticket which will include MM and then upgrading to AP after using it. For when you upgrade, consider what discounts you will take advantage of-for deluxe 10% most food places (not carts), 15% merchandise. If you are driving also consider signature-as it includes parking and 5% higher discounts. If you upgrade to signature on the day you parked they will refund your parking.

Thank you all. Not driving and staying just across Harbor. I'll use Uber if I want to go anywhere else. I also have friends in Southern California who might spend some time with me.

One other thing to consider is that if you buy a multi-day pass and then upgrade it to an AP while you're there, you will pay the current (that day) price of the AP. Whereas if you buy your AP ahead of time you will not get the Magic Morning, but you will not have to pay the difference if there's a price increase after purchase but before your trip. They've already raised prices on some APs this year but not others. I think they already raised Deluxe, but I'm not positive. If they already raised it, I would not expect it to go up again this year, but you never know.

If you think you will come one more time within a year, buy a 3 day pass and use your mm as early as possible and then upgrade after you use the mm before the end of your third day. Once we had an ap, magic mooring wasn't as important to us.
