Magic Morning/park opening question

We are planning on using our magic morning on Tuesday, September 28th.

The regular park hours that day are 10am-8pm.

Magic hours are 9am - 10am.

What time to they actually start letting people through the turnstiles? Exactly at 9am? Or earlier?

I've never seen them open the gates early. It is always right at the hour mark.

I would agree to be there by 8:30 to get through security, get a good spot in line, and get into the park by 9:05 at the latest.

But this is coming from someone who has been the first person of the day on Peter Pan three separate times! :rotfl:

Have a great trip!

I have seen it done only a couple times. Usually when the official opening is at 10am (never if it is 8am).

My plan is always to leave our hotel an hour before park opening so we can be in line 30 mins before opening. We have never been first in line for anything (to my knowledge) but my kids got to "open the park" after being busted for running down an empty Main Street, USA.

It's called a typo. Do you have anything worthwhile to contribute to this thread?

Yea.... It's not called "Magic Hours" or "Extra Magic Hours" or even "Magic House"! This is Disneyland not Disney World! At Disneyland it is called "Magic Morning" or "Early Entry (this is what they used to call it)". Maybe if you did a search for "Magic Morning" you would have come across the Magic Morning super thread where your question has already been answered!

Was that worthwhile enough for you?

That was just rude!

Be in line at 8:30am. They will sometimes open earlier but it is NOT guarenteed.

Thanks, all! I think we'll shoot for 8:30am or so then.

I have no desire to read a "super thread' on this topic, thanks anyway.

Not to encroach upon this heated debate (because I think both sides have been unnecessarily rude), but I highly recommend reading my MM superthread because it really does answer a lot of basic and unique questions. That is the whole purpose of a superthread.

Guys guys guys.....please, can we get back on track to the original subject? The problem is, when one person says something out of turn it automatically spawns a response...which then provokes more responses from more people...and then the whole thing veers into ugly territory. At some point someone has to be the one to stop it. So it's going to be me!

Enough. If anyone has something to share that can help the OP - AmyPond - then feel free to reply, but no more snippy replies from anyone, or replies that could be misconstrued in any way in this thread.:goodvibes

Thanks but that was really the only question I have at this point and I got some good answers. I've been to Disneyland hundreds of times but only MM once and I just couldn't remember how early we arrived last time. (This time I will remember to make sure the time stamp on my camera is accurate. I always forget.)

If I do have any other MM questions in the future, I'll be sure not to start a thread about it.
