DH surprised me. He bought me a beautiful string of indoor/outdoor dragonfly lights. He also brought two extention cords. This way he was able to hook the lights on the verandah. They were so beautiful at night. It's hard to believe that the verandah experience could be improved, but this really was a beautiful addition. When DH isn't snoring he is the best DH ever.
Day 3 is a day at sea. We played Bingo and I won $72.00. Of course later in the cruise I spent this and more trying to win the big jackpot - Ha It was fun to be able to yell bingo!!!
One thing we learned this day was a wonderful hideaway. We wandered into Sessions in the middle of the day when no one was there. The chairs are soooooooooooo cozy. We sat in there for an hour or so. There are headphones with the best Disney music. This was nap 2. Have I mentioned this is the life I was born to live?
The show this evening was The Golden Mickeys. It was wonderful.
Dinner was at Parrot Cay. Our servers were Alfonso and Den. They were great - I just had the feeling they had not worked together for very long. DH and I had the crab newburg- it was very good. I had the cold avacodo soup and DH had the cream of sweet onion soup - both were wonderful. We both had the prime rib which we LOVED. No desert as dinner filled us up.
We planned to use the fitness center while on this cruise since there would be so much food. Well this was the third day we ignored that plan.
Day 4
Just more of the same - We were here to relax and relax we did.
We never got off the ship to see Grand Cayman. I had been there before and loved it, but rest and relaxation was the whole reason for this cruise.
Another visit to Sessions in the middle of the day. We enjoyed the pool and hottub with few people again. Lunch at Lumiere's
I had the reuben - it was good, not great. DH had the meatloaf and really enjoyed it.
Another opportunity to ignore the fitness center and off to Deck 4 to take nap 3 in the wonderful blue deck chairs.
We skipped the show "Hercules" as we had seen it twice.
Dinner was The Around the World menu. We both had the soft shell crab tempura - It was good. DH had prime rib again and I had the Mediterranean seafood stew. We both enjoyed our entrees very much. The tiramisu was supposed to be from Palos. It wasn't even close to the tiramisu they serve in Palos.
The tiramisu in Palos is absolutely the best ever in the whole wide world. This is from someone who never met a tiramisu she didn't like. The one served outside of Palos was good but NOT nearly as good.
One thing I forgot to mention - we saw alot of flying fish on this cruise. They were amazing to watch. Yep this is the life I was born to live!
