Magic - May 29, 2016 - 7 Night Norwegian Fjord

Hey Matt & Family!
I take it you all are UK peeps? I would be across the Pond (is that the correct term?) I will be happy to answer any and all questions - I am no expert - but I believe we can find our answers on the DIS as it is a wealth of info. I have been reading the post from the first Norway cruise - It makes me so excited about our cruise! I look forward to chatting with you!
Lynn

Kind of UK peeps . We actually live in Guernsey (channel Islands) closer to France than England but we have stronger links to the UK.

Hey everyone! Last week we booked the EBTA and today hubby said to book this one too!!! We were booked on this year's 6/6 fjords cruise but canceled cause DH could only take 1 week vacation (others had requests in before him) and I wasn't ready to drop over 6 grand on airfare for just one week. But for 3 weeks... YES I will!!! The time off has already been requested and approved! Hubby is of half Norwegian heritage and he will spend his 41st birthday in Bergen!

Anyway... it'll be me (Carmen), hubby Jarrod, daughter Haley (she'll be 17 and entering her senior year in HS), son Cameron (he'll be 10 an entering 5th grade). We live in MS and love everything about Disney. This is be DCL #8 for hubby and me and DCL #6 for the kids... so their first GOLD cruise! So far our favorite DCL has been our 15 night WBPC cruise in 2011 but I'm afraid that might be moving down on the list after these 2 cruises :-)

Really want to participate in the FE exchange too. I love doing embroidery and already have projects in mind :-D

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!!!

Hi everybody
I know it is very early but being uber-organised myself and Mrs Ferret are looking to get started on our FE gifts.
We are looking to do a 10 stateroom group.
Who's onboard with us and would like to participate ?

Ok. If you are interested in doing the FE please send me:

The names of the people in your cabin
Stateroom number if known
Ages of the kids in the stateroom
Also everyone's favorite disney character. If anyone in the stateroom has food allergies, please let me know that as well. {content edited by a moderator} I am also wondering what you think an appropriate closing date is for the list? Me personally I am thinking April 30,2016 or is that too late?

Please include us in the FE list {edited by a moderator}. I think it is fine to offer the FE to everyone as long as everyone has access to all info. That is what we are doing on another cruise I am taking in Aug. I am sure it is a bit of a pain for the person handling. I think April 30th would be fine too - as I am also an early planner and would start my FE sooner rather than later. Are you going to limit it to 10 rooms per group? Are you going to do Family groups and Adult groups or just 10 room groups?
Thank you for handling this!
Lynn

Room 6134

What would people prefer? Limit the groups at 10 cabins or 20 cabins? Do you want to have an adult only group? We are open either way. Depending on how big the groups get, we will be on multiple lists.

We had on this past cruise, the FE list close 4 months before the cruise and thought that was way too early.

Just my two cents - But I think 4 months is way too early - I think a month to six weeks is a reasonable amount of time. I would like to hear what others think as my time frame may not agree with everyone else. I think 20 cabins is a huge group - again - others may think it is OK - if everyone likes the idea of a group of 20 - then that will be OK with me and I will do 20.
I don't have to have the groups broken out - I have been on a cruise where they did break out the Groups - One for family and one for Adults only - You had the option to be on multiple groups if you wanted. I was asking if that is how this was going to be handled.
I think we should keep it simple - that way it is easy on everyone - Again just my two cents. I will go with what the group thinks is best. I would love to hear from others - I only have a few cruises to base this on.
Thanks
Lynn

I agree that closing the list a month before makes more sense. I thought that four months early was a little too early. I think 20 cabins per list is a good number

Hi there
We would prefer to do 10 cabins as 20 does seem quite a large number. We are happy to be in a mixed group or just an adult group.

Cabin 2550
2 adults
nut allergy and we don't eat chocolate
Matt : Hades
Donna : Ariel

My parents (also on the cruise ) would be interested in joining a FE group, doesn't have to be the same one as us.

Cabin 2552
2 Adults
Val : Cruella
Tim : Grumpy

All of us are first time cruisers :sail:
