Love all the plans so far! Looks great. I can't believe what all the kids here on the Dis Wish thread go through.... has to be so scary, esp for little ones. I can't imagine- they are all sooo strong!

What a journey you have had!!!! I enjoyed reading about your plans, I am going to look into some of the things you have on your plan (arial show...) to see if we would like to do that as well. Thanks for mapping everything out, can't wait for the trip report!!!! Your kids are beautiful!!!:cool1:

Katie, I saw your posts on Judy's (blessemom4) thread and wanted to stop by and say hi! we will be in WDW the same time...we are going to be meeting up with Judy and her family a couple of the days and hope we can meet you and your beautiful family too!

Gabbie is a little sweetie and so strong going through all her chemo, pokes and appts.

Love all your plans for the kids, the girls will love BBB and CRT!
Tell Jacob he has to try Expedition Everest at AK, its the BEST coaster IMHO on property, my DD LOVES IT!!!

look forward to reading more about your plans!

Gabbie completely amazes me everyday, the so much grace in one 4 year old little body! Thanks for following!!

No problem! I'm a planner, this week has been crazy busy with life and I haven't had time to look at much Disney, and I get a little sink feeling in my stomach hoping I didn't forget something I should have called about!

That would be so so cool! I will be sure to pass on the info to Jacob, he's definatly on a coaster mission. We have not been able to get him scared yet, so maybe that will do it!

We are going to attempt a camping trip this weekend. Gabbie has been feeling pretty good this week and LOVES to do this. So off we will go!

Hi there -- I'm joining in! Loved reading about your family. My wish girl is almost 4 and was diagnosed with Wilms' Tumour--another form of cancer. Her chemo treatment protocol was much shorter than Gabbie's, but she completed it at Christmas and has been doing wonderfully ever since--and now we are going to Disney to meet all the princesses in exactly four weeks from today! ACK!!

I see a spirit of fun (maybe a little mischief?) in Gabbie's eyes. I can't wait for her to go on her trip--it will definitely help break up the treatment plan and give her and all of you the drive to keep fighting strong!

I'm familiar a little bit with Wilms...not fun. Cancer sucks for sure. Leukemia treatment is long. Girls 2.5 years, boys 3.5 years. Gabbie is doing well, and so far we have been able to keep side effects managed with AFO's PT and meds. We can do this!! :)

OK...here is a pic of all of us! The picture was the last one taken when Gabbie was asked to have her picture taken as part of an ad campaigne for MAW. It was 110 degrees that day, and I certainly had no intent of actually being in a picture! So, I'm not looking great by any streach! But, the rest look pretty good...so here ya go!

OK....it might have been a 100+ degrees outside which made Mom's hair frizzy and sweaty.....but Gabbie did fantastic!! She had a blast....here is one of my favorite shots!

We are doing well here, Gabbie has made tremendous strides in physical therapy this summer. It is so great to see her be able to run and jump with ease again. Jacob had double pink eye and I feel like I want to cheer because he and I were able to contain it to just him! I'm not sure what pink eye would do to Gabbie's immuncompromised state. I ended up having an endoscopy to discover I have a haiatial hernia along with silent reflux....my throat was streached...and prilosec should help with the acids allowing ulcer to heal. Its always something huh? No big deal really.

Not a lot of Disney planning going on here really....back to school is in full swing here! All while trying to squish in the last parts of summer. I did a quick run through in Target today and was excited to see Disney AND Sesame street T's....but alas....not a single one in Gab's size....or any of the other girls for that matter! :( I think I'll need to get to shopping online here once back to school is paid for.

Hope everyone reading is well!

I get so excited about it all my stomach does a flip flop!

Glad therapy is working, Lisa has been doing therapy for eight years, what a blessing. AND I am thrilled for YOUR medical needs that this should be a relatively easy fix, Mom needs her strength!

Boy do I know the "can't find the right size, how do I pay for it blues!"
Hope everyone reading is well!
Still here, even when I don't sign in

I get so excited about it all my stomach does a flip flop!
Our trips are so close!! I don't know what I will do when it is over, I have been planning it for so long! I wanted to savor each and every moment since it is a one shot deal.

LOLOLOL....I will get a better bigger picture I promise!!

I did a little planning this week and its going to be a bit of a struggle to get all the want to do's everyone in the house wants to get to! So....I think we are going to skip Animal Kingdom. We have gone to a number of zoo's this summer, and something just had to give! I'm determinded not to have so much planned that we run around like crazy people who are tried and crabby by the end of the week.

So...newest plan is as follows:

Friday Oct 14: Arrive GKTW about 2pm. Orientation, explore, trip to Walmart, swim, play have fun! Pirates and Princess Party aye aye matey! ;)

Saturday: Brk, horse back riding, Epcot, dinner at Garden Grill, possibily stay for Illuminations.....Japan for pearls, and Soarin for all of us!

Sunday: Hubby's bday and SEAWORLD! We are all so excited to go. Gabbie doesn't know about the Sesame Street show, she LOVES Sesame, Grover is the man IHO. The Halloween party will be an extra surprise for the kids.

Evening, back to play at GKTW

Monday: Sophia's 7th bday!! Hollywood Studios, mission: New Little Mermaid show! S has been fan of hers since she was 3. This will be her 4th years wanting a little mermaid party for her bday...what could be better then MEETING her? Gabbie wants to see the muppet show very much. Jacob wants to see just about everything there. The girls and I all the shows. Should be fun day! We have late dinner reservations at Sci Fi and should get to leave the park when its mostly empty after tips from Fellow Diser! (thanks!) Then back to GKTW for more fun and relaxing. (we are all excited to try out that tub!!

Tuesday: BEACH DAY! I get to introduce my kiddos to the ocean. I love love love love the ocean and can't wait to show them!

Wednesday: PRINCESS DAY!! Magic kingdom here we come!! This will be our last full day and we intend to spend it making all of Gabbie's wishes come true!! We plan to head to Magic Kingdom pretty early and stay all day until the firework show sends us back to GKTW. Lunch with the Princess's, BBB appointments after the parade, gett that autograph book FILLED! LOL Its going to be so much fun!

Thursday we have to leave GKTW about 10:30 :(

I have almost all the back to school stuff taken care of, a few more things, but only 3 more doc appointments next week. The kids start back on the 6th.

THEN I can focus on outfits! We will need something special to wear to Seaworld, something to wear to princess lunch and princess outfits for BBB. And wish shirts....and I need to measure suitcases to see what will work and what we will need to borrow. I'm excited to start thinking that direction finally! Time to start prepping! :yay::yay::yay:

Yea for getting a bigger picture, I have to know who you are when we see each other at the WORLD! Your plans look great, I agree there is NO WAY to see it all! We have 47 days, you have 48...I need more time!!! How about you???

Big weekend for us here, tomorrow marks one year since diagnosis. I've been a bit messy this week, those first thoughts and feelings when your told your child has cancer are just never forgotten.

BUT, today Gabbie is feeling pretty good. She has been able to regain her muscle strength this summer and looks good overall. We are thankful, so thankful that she has responded well to treatment, and are up to taking one week at a time with all this. Much better then the one hour at a time we started with! 16 months of treatment left.

This next week we are letting her start preschool two days a week. Its hard hard hard for me to think about being in such a little germ factory. Strep throat can land her in the hospital....I gotta let her go. She wants a friend her age soooooo badly! She knows about not putting anything in her mouth, and washing hands. She knows the drill. Still isn't easy. Just a rough week on Mom!

However..... 6 weeks from tonight...we will be celebrating LIFE at the GKTW Pirates and Princess Party! Hooray! get through this week puts us one week closer to FUN!

thank you Jonasgirl!

I did a little planning today, I got some trick or treat bags at the $ store, along with some glow sticks. I plan on making some activity books for the kids for on the plane, and have been looking at crayon rollups on etsy. Man is that a fun place!!

I can't wait to celebrate all of this with Gabbie and the family. Its been such a hard year.....time to celebrate LIFE!

OK...time to update here! :)

I still have no picture of me...I will need to remedy this at some point huh?

Anyway, we got some Pixie dust this week from Dis'er Mcazer!!!!! A happy package arrived in the mail this weekend. The girls were home at the time, and so excited I couldn't make them wait until what would be the next day by the time they saw the boys, and so I let them open it.

Inside were some ADORABLE luggage tags, fun stickers, markers, and individual autograph books for each kiddo!! The girls were soooooo excited that Mcazer knew exactly what kind they would like. She even made a rollercoaster themed one for Jacob. Tonight Jacob shared with me that he isn't all that interested in getting autographs, because well, rollercoaster can't do that, so he is going to use the book to write notes and memories of all the ones he rides on! Each autograph book came with a special pen. We are all so touched by your thoughtfulness! Its hard to put it into words!!
