I forgot what size tag I used on the cricut for the top layer of the Astro Orbiter - so I guess that would be my first project to start on tonight. It doesn't make sense that I would have only cut three and not 6 but it is ridiculous to keep looking for those three.

The good news is that I did not let the shaker box beat me. They are plainer than I hope but that is okay. I am not Martha Stewart and have to expect that my work will be dowdy at times. I can not expect everything to look as beautiful as a cake with fondant icing and sugar roses.

Now, when I can think clear headed and not waste a bunch of Bazzill - I will figure out the size for those last three tags.

Oh, but it is better. I am in the free for all group that has 7 peple. Twice, I have printed out on cardstock and applied stickle ( I love stickle) to the title, yet; somehow there are always just 6 in my bag.

What is up with that?

I'm sorry you aren't thrilled with your shaker boxes, but can I just say that I'm glad you're not Martha?!?!? I really don't like her stuff and a shaker box with fondant icing & sugar roses would be messy.

About the tags...Susie, no one but you (and maybe me) will ever see them side by side with the original ones. Just choose what you think you used before & go with it!! Don't stress!! :hugs4u If then end up being slightly different, I'll just keep the "odd" pair (since you're missing 3). I rarely use 2 tags exactly the same - unless they're the tiny Sizzlits ones - on a 2 pg LO anyway.

And if it makes you feel any better...for my first swap I said I'd do the 4 squares...for a group of 16!!! I thought I was making 64 squares...16*4=64, right? I didn't have a square punch so I was cutting strips & then chopping them up. I realized later that to double mat the main piece (embossed princess stamps on CS) that I actually had to cut out 192!! I kept losing them! I'd count those little buggers, put them in a bag, & but the next time I worked on them some would be missing. I didn't start finding the missing ones until the next swap I joined! And I still haven't used all those extra blue squares I cut...and it's been 3 years now!

ETA: Oh - and I'd never heard of Stickle until you mentioned it. I did see it at my LSS last week. I can't wait to see what it actually looks like! I might have to get some if it does what I think!

I'm doing 4 squares for the ABD for one letter - how mad am I, 4 x 13 I've cut the bases, got the paper for the top, NO IDEA what I'm going to put in the middle

I was working on my Adventureland/Swiss Family Treehouse elements today and had a good idea for one of the tags, but the punch I want to use is too small for a 2x3 tag. I was wondering if anyone would object if I replaced one of the tags with two of the Sizzlits tags. That size will work with the punch I wanted to use. These are purely decorative - there would be no room to write on them.

Just to clarify - I was planning on doing a journal box & tag as one of my elements and I want to know if you would object to my sending a journal box & 2 "mini" tags instead.

I love stickles....I think I have almost every color. It has a pin point sipenser and can really make plain paper pop by outlining little things in it or around the are you are working. It is easy to control too.

I think variety is good ...everything won't end up looking the same.

I most certainly don't object to the mini-tag idea. I'm hoping that everyone will be okay with my tomorrowland tag. It is (gasp) 1.75" wide, but meets the length requirement. I used the largest punch from Marvy Uchida that Michael's had. I've used this for tags in another swap, and no one objected.


All four of mine are now complete and I'm getting ready to mail either today or tomorrow before the rates go up. The gas companies are already getting enough of my money, don't want the PO to get too much either.

Update for Lands Group A, Tomorrowland ended up being a box 'n tag and four deco squares. That land just wasn't speaking to me, and it was difficult to capture the essence of Tomorrowland.

I'm sure I speak for most of us when I say, when my swaps arrive I just pull it all out and go "wow, I wish I'd thought of/could do that!". I certainly don't measure everything, and say "that topper is 1/4 " short, those embellishments aren't properly centres" etc etc

I do this so I get lots of variety on my pages without having to keep pulling tools out every time I want something, so simple or over-the-top-fancy is all OK with me

For those shipping today - the post office may not sell you a return priority mail stamp for the new amount - I was at the PO yesterday for something else (not quite ready to ship just yet) and tried to buy two priority mail stamps and they said they won't sell the new priced ones until they are valid. Could just be my PO but please check so you get your goodies back!
