Ummm - if you haven't already sent it...

It would be best to use the cardboard flat rate envelopes instead of the Tyvek ones. The Tyvek ones are too large and the elements float around in there. They often end up being bent in transit. You need to add cardboard to the Tyvek anyway & then you're paying for the extra weight.

Stop worrying...yours made it fine! You had enough stuff in your zipper bag that it cushioned itself. But for people in only 1 or 2 groups I'm afraid it won't fare so well. Oh - and I got your PM. I've been without power much of the afternoon & then DD had a doctor's appt. I'll check & answer your question later tonight.

What's a tyvek envelope???

It feels like there's plastic in it, if not entirely plastic. They're white envelopes and very flexible as opposed to the thin cardboard flat-rate ones.

You might have seen Tyvek in new construction on the side of a house - over the studs. It's not always white, but the word "Tyvek" is usually plastered all over it. It's very resistant to tearing - at least in the mail system. Just try to rip one of those things open!

ETA: I just looked and there's actually a #2 recycle symbol on it, so it must be entirely plastic. Who knew?

You're right of course. I used the calendar on the Windows desktop which doesn't not holidays. But hopefully everyone will have their things in the mail by the weekend before, since Tuesday is cutting it awfully close.
