I know what some of you probably said when you read the title. I am well aware that crowds at MK are far worse on Satudays than on Tuesdays, but here's the thing...We will be there 10-29 (Sat.) to 11-1 (Tues.). Sunday and Monday at Universal. Our plane leaves Orlando at 6:00pm Tuesday the 1st. Your opinion, MK on Saturday (9:00am-9:00pm) with big crowds, or MK on Tuesday (9:00am-4:00pm) with minimal crowds? In other words, should I go with more time spent at the park with big crowds, or less time spent at the park with smaller crowds? :confused3

Everyone who is there now says that the crowds are light. Historically the end of October is light as well. I say go for Saturday when you can enjoy the entire day.

if you opt for saturday do fantasy land inthe morning or forget it. when we went in Jan( slower than Oct) fl was packed wall to wall sat afternoon to the point you could hardly get through. least main st was not that bad but we left it was so crammed in fl( wanted to see philharmagic again, and were going to go on a few other things having been to MK earlier in the week). that being said i might still go so you could see wishes and maybe spectro if it's showing( guess it would be) and just go around fl to get any where else...we were so totally shocked by the crowds we didn't really think to go another way to get to sm, maybe the other lands wouldn't have been as bad. as devoted off season visitors it was a real eyeopener!

If you get there at opening on Saturday and stay until around 11:00 to noon, then the crowds are manageable. Also, do you happen to know when MK has their evening EMH? This summer we would go the day after the evening EMH and the park was empty in the morning. We were able to get soooo much done. If the EMH happens to be on a Monday night then you will be "golden" on Tuesday.

Enjoy your trip!!! :sunny:

is october a good time to go we are talking 9th october for 2 weeks next year, are the parks busy , is the weather as humid as early september.

If its the only day you are going to go to MK, take the Saturday. There is a whole lot more to MK than rides. If it is busy , I am sure u can enjoy the day anyway. From what i here, even on Saturday its not sooooo busy.

MK is always the centre of any trip to Orlando, seems a let down to do it as an after thought on the day you are leaving...you know, that nagging feeeling about what time u have to leave etc. I always spend our last day at MK , but always have that "when is it time to go?" thought. Of course, we have visited MK before also on that trip, which makes it easier, but not easy to leave.

Thanks for all the advice!!! My wife and I have been to MK many times, but we are taking my nephew with us and this is his first time. We're really doing all this for him.

I was reading some posts and looked at the UG dates pdf which said Saturdays are not as bad in MK as Tuesdays. The rationale was that for many, Saturday is a travel day.

That being said, the last time we were there in March, Saturday morning was fine but after lunch it was packed and we left the park to go somewhere less crowded. We always get park hoppers for the specific reason that we like MK in the mornings and some evenings, but never in the afternoons.

Do it your way and have a great trip. :Pinkbounc
