Hi all! Question here about timing. Looking to do rope drop at MK and wondering if I am expecting too much. Is it realistic to ride Peter Pan first head to Merida then to our fast pass for Cinderella/Rapunzel all by 9:40 on a 9 am opening with no EMH? Any advice is appreciated. Merida is a must do first thing for my niece but it is tradition for me y family to ride Peter Pan first. Thanks!

We just did an 8 am pre-opening breakfast at CRT on May 24 (9 am opening), and headed to Peter Pan right after. We were out of CRT at about 9, and by the time we got to PP, the standby wait was supposedly 40 minutes. The actual wait was more like 25 minutes.

I got to the PP line before DH, since he had to get DS's stroller parked, and he said the Rapunzel/Cinderella line said only a 5 min wait. However, just a couple mins later, it said 20 mins. So it seems like the wait times go up pretty quickly.

PP and Rapunzel/Cinderella are fairly close to one another, and Merida is closer to Cosmic Rays (between the castle and the teacups). So you'd have to do a little bit of backtracking, but obv not as bad as going across the park. Also, every time we went by Merida, the wait was probably 20-30 minutes (this was on several MK days).

We were there last month. MK on 9am days was actually opening closer to 8:45am. I'm guessing 90% of the crowd heading to Fantasyland at rope drop is going to 7DMT or A&E. If you are there before rope drop, PP will be a walk-on.

Note that with your FP, you can return 5 minutes early or up to 15 minutes late. So you could theoretically use your 9:40am FP anytime between 9:35am and 10:55am. The first hour of the day is when crowds are lowest, you could easily fit in several more Fantasyland rides (such as Pooh, teacups, Dumbo, Barnstormer, Small World, etc.) after Merida and before your Cinderella FP expires.

It might be a little tough but not completely out of the question. If you head to Peter Pan straight away, you should be able to walk-on or see a minimal wait. Merida comes out at 9:15 but people will have headed to her line right at rope drop, so it depends how many families are already waiting by the time you get there after Peter Pan.
