Me and fiance were wondering if anyone has alot of pics from a MK session? All we ever see is the bride and groom in front of the castle.

Some non-in front of the castle pictures...

I do remember seeing a bride who had a couple of bridal portraits pictures in the tea cups, but I don't think they were on the disboards. Maybe it was on one of the Disney Fairytale Weddings facebook groups, or a blog?

I was given the impression during our session though, that we could have chosen spots other than the castle and carousel for pictures if a) time allowed it or b) we were willing to give up our time at the castle & carousel.

I had wanted pictures along Main st. (my favorite part of the MK) but time didn't allow for it and DH REALLY wanted the carousel pics.

I know Lori had pics taken along main st. during their session, I think she chose to do them instead of the carousel.

I haven't gotten my pics back yet, but we did the castle, the carousel and Pirates of the Caribbean since it's my favorite ride. It really depends on if there is another bride also shooting, the clean up crew and how close each of your spots is to one another.

Did you get pictures inside POC? Or just around the outside areas?

We didn't go specifically into the ride part, but all around outside and the queue area. There's also a captain's study that we got to go into and shoot photos (the door to it is in the shop right next to the ride) - in all the years we've been going to Disney, I didn't even know that existed!

The colours on your carousel shots are beautiful! All of your other photos look amazing too! I really hope we get to do an MK shoot! :)

How early was your shoot? I really want to do a MK shoot but we have a 10am ceremony. I'm concerned about getting hair done and having an early shoot. Any tips or insights?

The shoot is usually at 5 am or 6 am, though in some seasons they start at 5:30 am or 6:30 am. If you had your hair and makeup done before the shoot, you would have plenty of time to get to your wedding, since the MK shoot only lasts an hour. This is a great way to save on hair and makeup costs but you will have to get up *really* early.

We did our MK shoot 2 days after the wedding so we wouldn't have to hassle with it.

I am doing this in september. We have the 5 am slot for our MK shoot (the 6 am) slot was booked. We were told that we would have enough time with either time slot for our 10 am wedding. We decided to do this because it will save us money on hair and make up and we really didn't want to have to get up that early on our honeymoon. If you have any questions about timing or anything, feel free to pm me.

I think you'd be fine with the 6am slot and a 10 am wedding. We did our 6am MK shoot the day after our wedding (which was at 10am). We were back at the hotel by 8:00 (I think 8:15 at the latest), so I think you would have plenty of time in the morning for both.

We wanted to have our first look at the ceremony, which is why we did the shoot the next day. I can tell you that getting up at 3am for hair and makeup the day after my wedding and reception (and then being in the MK until after the fireworks) was ROUGH. :rotfl:

So the hair/makeup people will come to your room that early??

Absolutely. They were there at 7 am for my wedding and 3 am for my MK photo shoot. They do charge a fee ( I think it was $30) for being there at 3 am. I used Beaute Speciale, but I think Patricia charges one as well.
