In all these pictures, the brides look so incredibly beautiful.
I have heard that they happen at 5 am or so.

This leads me to question- how do they get that way? Which salons are open early enough to get you gorgeous by 5 am? And is it prohibitively expensive to in fact do the hair and makeup thing twice over?

Thanks!

the cosmetology list provided by disney has cosmetologist and hair stylists that will come to your room the day of the shoot to do your hair and make-up.

Its a 150 dollars for them to come to your room to do hair and makeup and 800 for the photo shoot. We are booked for the day after our wedding

sajetto: when we booked we were told it was 850$, is it still 800? :confused3

Jess

They told me $800, I booked it and didn't ask any questions. I'll call and ask again tomorrow...maybe I was told wrong :confused3

I was told it was $800 also, for 2006. Maybe $850 is the price for 2007? :confused3

Does anyone know how far in advance you would need to book this?
Also im not sure whether to do this the day after my wedding or the next day?

I just booked my Magic Kingdom Bridal session for January 2007 2 days ago and the day after my wedding was already taken. You can only book this session one year in advance, but you should do it as soon as you hit that date. If you are already a year or less out and are serious about getting these pics done call now... We are having to wait till 2 days after our wedding to do ours... They are really really popular.

As for hair and makeup... Those appointments for that session fill up fast too so get that appointment set up as soon as you can as well. The picture sessions are either at 5 or 6 am and you will have to have your hair and makeup done at 4 am.. ICK I am so not a mornig person, but I am sooooo excited about these pictures so I will make it happen.... :rotfl:

Eeyore77: I believe I am the one who is booked the day after your wedding! :) Who would you suggest to do your hair and makeup, I hadn't even thought about this! How much were you quoted for the session? Thanks :)

I vote for the day after the day after your wedding...we were EXHAUSTED the day after our wedding!

We did the day after our wedding and with the excitement of doing the MK shoot it was pretty easy to get up. Granted we are morning people so I think that helps. I did my own hair/make up so I got up at 5:00 am and not 4:00 am. Now that was 2003 when they only did one shoot per day.

I would call and book it now as they do get busy- you can always cancel it if you want but just to ensure a spot for you to get the pictures if you want.

May i ask who do you call in order to book? If you already have a wedding planned do you go to your wedding planner, or just call Disney Photography seperatly? And if i do call Disney photo, then do i just let my WP know so they can add it to my budget? Or do i pay for that seperatly? Just pay disney photo directly??

I am kinda glad that we couldn't get the day after the wedding cause then we can sleep in and honeymoon at the parks some... :Pinkbounc I am schedued with Lisa at www.lisasmagicalweddings.com. She will meet you at your hotel at 4 am to get you ready and it is 200 $ for hair and makeup. They pick you up to take you to the park at 6am in your lobby to take you to the shoot... I have heard good things about her, but use the website above to check her work out for yourself.

I was told by my wedding coordinator Diane to call Karen Chandler directly @ 407-827-5029. She is in charge of the disney wedding pics and video, Then the will have that added to your wedding budget...

Hi Guys: :wave2:

I just reserved our MK session for two days after the wedding. Our wedding is scheduled for 12/22/06, and some appointments were already taken up. My pickup time is at 5:30 am!!!!!!! But I'm very excited about the pics. I just hope we don't look to sleepy. As for the price, I was given a quote of $800.00. I also suggest that if the brides want to have their bridal bouquet, to ask the florist about preserving it for the session.

I also booked mine today - mine is on the 8th December 06!! 2 days after my wedding im so excited!
