One week to go and I am still mkaing changes to the plan. Touringplans.com says Saturdays are a great day for MK, with minimal crowds. I am looking at 11/5 (we get in on Friday) to hit MK...Has anyone experienced Saturdays? Is Touringplans right? (Not saying they aren't but just looking to make this the greatest trip ever and want to be in the right park, on the right day).

:confused3 :bounce:

We were at MK Saturday March 5th of this year & it was a madhouse!
it was one of those days when I had to jump to stay out of the way of crazed stroller jockeys & excited, bands of very loud younger persons jostled up & down the Main Street!
the lines weren't excruciating, but we are pretty FP savvy.
every CS seemed jammed & not picked up--& we eat at 'off' times--the restrooms seemed very crowded & none too tidy
I just really did not enjoy it as much as usual--

I might be pretty sour here, it was our last day! :p

any day in WDW is better than a day at home up to our yams in ice, wind & snow!

Because of Wilma...we went to MK on SAt Oct22. WE had wanted to go on Monday 24 (my daughters birthday). There were a lot of people, but wait lines were about 30 min. for big rides adn longer for a couple of rides in Fantasyland. MY advice get there when it opens...actuallly a few minutes before. We did Dumbo first ( I had 3 teens with me but they love that ride-its so disney. WE did over 25 rides/shows and even had a little rain in the afternoon.

If you get to any park early you will find very little wait times. At the MK Tomorrowland tends to get far more crowded early than the other side. We had little to no waits on a Saturday morning in June for Big Thunder and Splash Mountain.
Fantasyland is also pretty quiet for the first couple of hours.

Well I was at the MK on a saturday in July and, well, all I can say is that I am at least alive to tell about it!!!LOL I wanted to tape the MK so that my family back at home could see it now. The crowds were undescribably crowded. I can't say what it will be like when you are down, but that day was the worse day for the MK for me. It all depends on timing. I was there for 3:00 and silly me had forgotten that a parade took place at that time then. I could NOT move at all. Once I got to Frontierland I was stuck, literally. I had to squeeze between people and some moved, but others refused to and no matter how much I said excuse me they didn'y budge. My main goal was not about the tape anymore, it was about surviving my way OUT!! We came back to the kingdom at night and the crowds had died down (although that could have been explained with the sudden downpour before LOL)

We went on a Saturday in early May this year and it was really busy, all the parks in the week were empty so im guessing it gets busy with the locals visiting. :Pinkbounc

I know its difficult to juggle that schedule around especially this close to leaving but I think you are getting a recurring message here. Avoid MK on a Sat. I have to agree. Our experiences on Sats. at MK have been crowds. FL. Pass Holders are a big reason why. And I dont blame them. I would be there every chance I got as well.
If you can try MGM or Epcot, either one should be a lot better. Have a good time no matter what. Remember a bad day at WDW beats a great day at work, hands down ;)
