And the reason I'm not happy about today's announcement is that I am quite sure that this is simply the thin edge of the wedge. Soon all of the TS restaurants will offer booze. Then the CS restaurants. Finally we'll see carts near some of the attractions.

Oh no!
We can't have alcohol served all over MK!

Then MK will become a horrible place filled with thousands of drunk rowdy people causing all kinds of mayhem. It will end up just as bad as Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Downtown Disney, and every Disney resort. ;)

will that make the lines shorter? If so, i'm all for it :)

I have not expererienced unruly guests at Epcot. However, I'm usually too blissfuly happy being at Disney to pay attention anyways. LOL

I will say that I will enjoy a glass of wine at my BOG dinner. It is quite expensive and can't imagine someone pounding them down to the point of being wasted. But, I guess time will tell.

I know you're joking but one time at Epcot I saw a guy who I think was drinking. :crazy2:

Drunks are way more fun to be around then little melting down snowflakes who have been drug around the park to the brink of exhaustion because their parents refuse to take a much needed break.

I don't really mean the dredge up the whole Club 33 thing again, but...yes, it's a private club but what people seem to not remember is that in the beginning it was WALT'S private club where where Walt ate, and where...Walt drank. Right there. In Disneyland. Sitting above Pirates of the Caribbean, he had cocktails while entertaining his guests.

So wouldn't one think that if he wanted alcohol to be banned for ever and ever and never spoken of lest the children fall down dead from the sheer horror of having the word brush by their ears (sorry...I was an English major, I get wordy and dramatic) that he would have had his cocktails elsewhere? Invited associates to join him somewhere closer to the studios?

Just my two cents.

It's absolutely delusional for people to think they know what Walt "would have wanted" based on what he thought was best for Disneyland 50 years ago.

Actually, Club 33 didn't open until after Walt's death.

Strangely, I once had a Magic Kingdom photopass CM tell me that due to my Corona tshirt some of my photos wouldn't be on the CD unless I covered the logo with my arms or camera strap. She was right! Some of my photos didn't show up! Seems that they have changed their values somewhat at the Magic Kingdom.

That's pretty interesting considering that on our last trip we bought a childs' sized Liverpool Football Club soccer shirt from the United Kingdom sports shop in EPCOT. The Carlsburg beer logo--the team's sponsor--is prominently front and center on the shirt.

Of course, that was in the WS....

bolded is pretty funny. :rotfl: But I for one am a parent who gets pulled around to exhaustion by my snowflake. I only pray 2 years later she's lost some steam.

Especially the "physically" able 10 year olds that are being pushed in a stroller;)

Ooops. I thought he had something similar when he was alive, though...but it is VERY possible that is a misconception. :rolleyes1

Also...yay Maryland! :cheer2:

He planned for Club 33 to be exactly what you said. He just didn't live to see it.

It looks like I'll be there for your birthday, too.

Who will more than likely develop a drinking problem because their parents allowed or often times forced their "physically"/"mentally" able bodies to be pushed around an amusement park at 10.

oh stop: we are opening another can of worms :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

No worms are in tequilla and they can't serve that at MK yet.

(see I know that because obviously I am a drunken slob who will trip over your 10 yr old snowflake in their stroller)

We could both head over the tequila bar at EPCOT then run back to MK:thumbsup2
