Magic Kingdom Kennel

Hi,

I've never used them, but will be starting this Sunday and I myself was very interested in finding out information.

Go to the search button and type "Kennels" and you'll see plenty of stuff.

I do know that the kennel at MK is actually at the TTC and not MK.

My BIL used this back in September during the hurricanes. He was evacuating New Orleans and we were in WDW so he came over with his dog and cat.

He used the one at Fort Wilderness. There are kennels at each of the theme parks + FW. It's $8 per day I believe and you have to walk your own dog, the kennel people don't do that. They will feed and water the animal, but it's your responsibility to walk them.

They don't take reservations, it's walk in only and first come first serve. They open an hour before the parks open and close an hour after the parks close.

My BIL was pretty happy with the service that they gave his pets. He said he wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Please let me know how it is. I am just really torn about this. This will be his first time. I am now debating on changing hotels (we are staying at CSR) and finding a hotel outside that will allow pets. What to do??? LOL My emaill is kstory@gmail.com. I rould really love to hear your experience when you get back.

Oh, what is TTC or should I say where????

Thanks a bunch :earsgirl:

We visited WDW during the September hurricanes (I can't remember which one) last year. We live in Ft Lauderdale and decided to take our dog with us to board her at the MK Kennel (it is much cheaper than our regular kennel.)

I suppose the care is OK; you do have to walk your own dog which can be a bit of a pain, especially if you are visiting another park.

The only problem we encountered was that we suspect our dog got kennel cough from her visit to the kennel. (Our dog had gotten all of her shots a few week prior to our visit so it seemed odd she would get it.) Of course we can't be certain where she got the kennel cough; she was not in contact with any other dogs prior to the visit to the kennel.

I've read that the kennel at EPCOT provides a dog walking service (for a fee of course! :teeth: You might want to check that out!
