Magic kingdom kennel help!

We had one that we thought was dead- I was SURE it was dead, so he was placed in a ziploc sarcophagous and lo and behold WEEKS later that little son of a gun came back to life! See my tag!

I would leave them home, they'll be fine.

Okay...I've had hermit crabs. I can't understand why anyone would be afraid of them...what's the big deal? Just drop some food in there and a bit of water, if needed.
I'm sorry but I just wouldn't lug around an aquarium with some hermit crabs in it. If you have someone already coming to the house to deal with cats, then it really shouldn't be an issue to feed a few hermit crabs. I mean, come on...how big are they??

When we moved across the country we stopped at a hotel. DH asked if they accepted pets, the hotel manager said "What kind of pet do you have?" DH replied "A bird, a turtle, and 2 hermit crabs." The manager didn't say a thing...no pet deposit or anything. I still don't think he believed us! :lmao: Have a fun, safe trip!

I just noticed my tag and want to clarify that the cats had NOTHING to do with the hermit crabs demise.

I've officially seen it all with this thread. popcorn:: I knew us DIS'ers were detailed-oriented, but this takes the cake. Kenneling hermit crabs?!

I'm not trying to be mean...I myself am a responsible pet owner and take it very seriously.

I just think you could easily get away with leaving the little guys in their cage on top of the TV armoire and mousekeeping wouldn't bat an eyelash. Maybe leave the tip envelope propped up against it? :rotfl:

We have hermit crabs..you cant kill these things!! I would definately leave them at home with extra food and water. I wouldnt pay a kennel to watch them:confused3

I would keep them in the hotel, and put them up on the shelf in the closet so the maids wont mess with them. I think they would be okay for several hours by themselves.

Just call them "Service Animals" and take them into the parks with you.
. . . "guide crabs" ?
. . . "seeing eye crabs" ?
. . . "emotional support crabs" ?
. . . "dinner" ?
