Magic Kingdom Hub Expansion

Is the hub under construction now? We go next month, so I'm hoping no. Also, is there a more precise date for the opening of 7 dwarfs?

What is happening with the Hub? Anyone have any photos of how it currently is now? Man we thought we were smart delaying our trip to this fall to have "everything at the MK done". pshaw, guess not. ;o)

Thank you hakepb. :O)

Is it really 'obvious' by daylight? From what I can see in the photos, it's off to the side really, and not causing any 'view 'issues.

Aren't they just pouring a new walkway to make a larger circle around the current circle? Unless I'm missing something, how will that take an additional 17 months?

For one, the expanded area is not flat. You are oversimplifying the work involved.

There are pictures of how it is supposed to look when it is finished, but I am honestly too lazy to look for them atm. However, you are over simplifying the work needing to be done. The area has to be leveled and some areas of the moat have to be filled in for example.

All while not being able to just shut down the Hub like they can an attraction AND only being able to do specific work when the park is open versus after hours.

They're also filling in the moat area between the Hub and Main Street. They will also add some fountains and new castle features.

Because it's Disney.

Kidding, sort of. I'm sure the fact that they aren't just closing the Hub to get the work done makes it take longer.
